Chapter on what was mentioned regarding the fasting of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
On the authority of Abdullah bin Shaqiq, he said:
Aisha, may God be pleased with her, asked about the fasting of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
She said
He used to fast until we said he had fasted
He breaks his fast until we say he has broken his fast
She said
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not fast for a full month since he arrived in Medina
Except Ramadan
In this hadith
The Mother of the Believers, Aisha, may God be pleased with her, was asked about the fasting of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
That is, whether he was fasting or not
What is meant by it is voluntary fasting
And she said
He used to fast until we said he had fasted
That is, he continues to fast for days
So we tell each other
Or we talk to ourselves and say it's past
And you will pass fasting
And it still is
Saying it breaks the fast until we say he has broken the fast
That is, it lasts for days
So we can say that the rest of the month will pass in vain
And say it
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, never fasted for a full month since he arrived in Medina except Ramadan
There is a warning to continue his fast
He was too short to fast for the entire month
Except in Ramadan
He fasted it completely because it is an obligatory obligation
It has been said since the beginning of the city
I took this time to mention
Because it is the time when fasting is imposed
There were many rulings
On the authority of Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him
He was asked about the fasting of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
And he said
He used to fast every month
Until we see that he does not want to be slandered by him
He slows down until we see that he does not want to fast any of it
And you did not want to see him praying at night
Except I saw him praying
Nor asleep
Except I saw him sleeping
There is moderation and moderation in this hadith
There is no continuous fasting
And there is no fasting either
Rather, fasting and breaking the fast
The month begins with fasting
And it continues
Until he thinks that he will complete the entire month fasting
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, slandered and continued doing so
So that he thinks that he will continue his absence until the end of the month
And he said
And you did not want to see him praying at night
Except I saw him praying
Nor asleep
Except I saw him sleeping
That is, may God bless him and grant him peace
Moderate in his nights
Sleep gives its luck
And prayer is her luck
No excess or negligence
And people, may God be pleased with him
He was asked about the fasting of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
Only
The questioner answered his question
And it increased his goodness
Because he knows he needs it
This is generosity in giving knowledge
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him
What he said
He was the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
He fasts until we say
What he wants to escape from
And he hesitates until we say
What he wants to fast from
He had not fasted for a full month since he arrived in Medina
Except Ramadan
On the authority of Umm Salamah, may God be pleased with her, she said
I did not see the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
He fasts for two consecutive months
Except Shaaban and Ramadan
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said
I did not see the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He fasts in a month
More than his fasting for God in Shaban
He used to fast in Sha`ban except a little
Rather, he used to fast all of it
In the hadith of Umm Salamah, may God be pleased with her
She did not see the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
He fasts for two consecutive months
Except Shaaban and Ramadan
As for his fasting, may God bless him and grant him peace
A complete Ramadan
It is clear
As for Shaaban
The one from whom it is proven, may God bless him and grant him peace
It is fasting most of it, not all of it
The hadith of Aisha and Ibn Abbas was recently mentioned to us
He, may God bless him and grant him peace
He had not fasted for a full month since he arrived in Medina
Except Ramadan
It carries the saying of Umm Salamah, may God be pleased with her
He fasts for two consecutive months
That is, most of Shaaban and the entirety of Ramadan
This is explained by the second hadith of Aisha
Where she said
I did not see the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He fasts more in one month than he fasts in Sha`ban
He used to fast in Sha`ban except a little
Rather, he used to fast all of it
It was narrated on the authority of Ibn Al-Mubarak that he said in this hadith:
It is permissible in the speech of an Arab if he fasts most of the month to say:
He fasted the whole month
And it is said
So-and-so stayed up all night
But he did most of it
Perhaps he had dinner and occupied himself with some business
This hadith explains the first hadith
The wisdom behind fasting a lot in Shaban
What was reported on the authority of Osama bin Zaid, may God be pleased with him, that he said:
I said, O Messenger of God
I have not seen you fast in any month as much as you fast in Sha`ban
He said
That is a month that people ignore
Between Rajab and Ramadan
It is a month in which deeds are raised to the Lord of the Worlds
I would like my deeds to be lifted while I am fasting
On the authority of Abdullah, he said:
He was the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He fasts for three days from the beginning of each month
He rarely let up on Friday
In this hadith
Abdullah, who is Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him
He said
He was the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
He fasts for three days from the beginning of each month
What is meant by the beginning of the month is the beginning of the month
Or he wants the new days
That is, eggs
May God bless him and grant him peace, he used to fast three days of every month
From the beginning or from the middle
Or someone else
Together or separately
And he said
He rarely let up on Friday
That is, he, may God bless him and grant him peace
He used to fast a lot on Fridays
This does not make sense
He used to single him out for fasting
Rather, he fasts it in conjunction with what comes before or after it
Where it was reported that it was forbidden to single out Friday for fasting
Or perhaps that is one of his characteristics, may God bless him and grant him peace
Like a connection
And about Maada, she said:
I said to Aisha
Did the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, fast three days of every month?
She said yes
I asked from whom he was fasting
She said
He did not care from whom he fasted
In this hadith
It is returned to the servant on the three recommended days of each month
He should fast it at the beginning, the middle, or the end
That's why Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said
He did not care from whom he fasted
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him
That the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Works are shown on Mondays and Thursdays
I would love for my work to be displayed while I am fasting
In the first hadith of Aisha, may God be pleased with her
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was eager to fast on Mondays and Thursdays
And the wisdom in that
As stated in the second hadith of Abu Hurairah
Their deeds are presented to God Almighty
May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he likes to present his deeds while he is fasting
It was also reported that he, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked about fasting on Mondays
He said that was the day I was born
This is another wisdom for fasting on Monday
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to fast during the month
Saturday, Sunday and Monday
And from the other month
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
In this hadith, it is explained that he, may God bless him and grant him peace
He used to fast three days of every month
If these days are white days, for example
It varies from month to month
In a month that corresponds to Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
In another month, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday correspond
And so on
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said
What was the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He fasts more in one month than he fasts in Sha`ban
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said
Ashura was a day observed by the Quraysh in pre-Islamic times
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to fast it
When he came to Medina, he fasted and ordered him to fast
When Ramadan was imposed
Ramadan was an obligation
He left Ashura
Whoever wants to fast it, and whoever wants to leave it
In this hadith
The Quraysh used to fast on Ashura in pre-Islamic times
That is, before his mission, may God bless him and grant him peace
Ashura is the tenth day of the month of Muharram
Ibn al-Qayyim, may God have mercy on him, said
There is no doubt that the Quraysh used to glorify this day
They used to cover the Kaaba with it
And his fasting is a complete part of his veneration
When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Medina
He found the Jews venerating that day and fasting it
He asked them about him
They said: It is the day on which God saved Moses and his people from Pharaoh
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
We are more deserving of Moses than you
So he fasted and ordered his fast to be glorified and affirmed
And he said, “When Ramadan came.”
Ramadan was an obligation
He left Ashura
Whoever wants to fast it, and whoever wants to leave it
This is evidence that fasting on Ashura is at the beginning of the matter
It was obligatory
When Ramadan assumed
Fasting on the day of Ashura has become recommended, not obligatory
The Sunnah is to fast on Ashura
To fast on the ninth day with him, in violation of the Jews
As stated in the hadith of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both
That the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Because if I stay until next year, I will fast on the ninth
It is correct to confirm the virtue of fasting on the day of Ashura
Atonement for the sins of the past year
And about the summit, he said:
Aisha, may God be pleased with her, asked
Was it the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace?
Something about the day
She said it was always his job
Which of you can tolerate what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, could endure?
This hadith is general to all acts of worship
It is not specific to the chapter on fasting
Perhaps the author, may God have mercy on him
I mention it in this section for your benefit
In the continuity of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
For the voluntary fasts he used to fast
Because his work, may God bless him and grant him peace, was constant
That is, he continues with it
And say at the top
Was it the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace?
Something about the day
That is, with special worship
He doesn't do the same to anyone else
Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said
It was always his job
That is, always
Which of you can tolerate what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, could endure?
That is, which of you has the ability to worship
What he, may God bless him and grant him peace, could not bear
Quantity or quality
Of reverence and submission
And loyalty and sincerity
God Almighty
Lead from his prophet
With patience, persistence and struggle
What no one else can tolerate
He was the most perfect servant of God Almighty
Servitude to God
And keep working
And goodness in it
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her
She said
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered upon me
And with a woman
He said who is this?
I said so-and-so
Don't sleep at night
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
You must do as much work as you can bear
By God, God does not tire
Until you get bored
And he loved it
To the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
Which its owner lives on
In this hadith
That the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
He entered upon Aisha, may God be pleased with her
And there is a woman from her people
Her name is Al-Hawla Bint Tuwait
May God be pleased with her
So ask about it
So I told
She said
She doesn't sleep at night
That is, staying up late in the worship of God Almighty
Such as prayer, remembrance, recitation, and the like
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
You must do as much work as you can bear
That is, commit to doing whatever you are able to do in quantity and quality
Without harm or hardship
By God, God will not get bored until you get bored
That is, no matter what work you do
May God reward you for it
So do what you want
God never tires of your reward
Until you get bored of work
And say it
This was the most beloved thing to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
Which its owner lives on
That is, even if it is less
That little is permanent
Better than a lot of interruptions
Because it is a short time
Obedience lasts and bears fruit
On the authority of Abu Saleh, he said:
Aisha and Umm Salamah asked
Which work was most beloved to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
She said
What is it, even if it is little?
The rest of the talk, God willing
And God knows best
May God’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad
And upon all his family and companions
