leopard skins, 00:06:33.879 --> 00:06:38.879 Swearing by Allah that you shall never enter it upon them by force. 00:06:38.879 --> 00:06:41.879 And here is Khalid ibn Al-Walid among their cavalry, 00:06:41.879 --> 00:06:44.879 Whom they have sent ahead to Kura' Al-Ghamim.'" 00:06:44.879 --> 00:06:48.879 The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 00:06:48.879 --> 00:06:50.879 "Woe to Quraysh! 00:06:50.879 --> 00:06:52.879 War has devoured them! 00:06:52.879 --> 00:06:56.879 What harm would it cause them if they left me and the rest of the people alone? 00:06:56.879 --> 00:07:00.879 If they defeat me, it will be what Quraysh desired; 00:07:00.879 --> 00:07:02.879 And if Allah grants me victory over them, 00:07:02.879 --> 00:07:05.879 They could enter Islam in large numbers. 00:07:05.879 --> 00:07:07.879 Even if they do not, 00:07:07.879 --> 00:07:09.879 They could fight while retaining their strength. 00:07:09.879 --> 00:07:12.879 So what do Quraysh think? 00:07:12.879 --> 00:07:17.879 By Allah, I shall not cease striving for that with which Allah has sent me 00:07:17.879 --> 00:07:22.879 Until Allah grants it victory or this side of the neck is severed!" 00:07:22.879 --> 00:07:30.800 The Prophet's (peace be upon him) Consultation with His Companions 00:07:30.800 --> 00:07:35.439 Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to his Companions: 00:07:35.439 --> 00:07:38.439 "Advise me, O people! 00:07:38.439 --> 00:07:43.439 Do you think we should attack the dependents and offspring of these people 00:07:43.439 --> 00:07:46.439 Who wish to bar us from the House? 00:07:46.439 --> 00:07:48.439 For if they come to us, 00:07:48.439 --> 00:07:52.439 Allah Almighty will have cut off a detachment of the idolaters; 00:07:52.439 --> 00:07:55.439 Otherwise, we leave them in a state of loss." 00:07:55.439 --> 00:08:00.629 In another narration by Imam Ahmad in his *Musnad* with an authentic chain: 00:08:00.629 --> 00:08:04.699 The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 00:08:04.699 --> 00:08:06.699 "Advise me: 00:08:06.699 --> 00:08:12.699 Do you think we should attack the offspring of those who assisted them, and strike them? 00:08:12.699 --> 00:08:15.699 If they stay behind, they remain bereaved and ruined; 00:08:15.699 --> 00:08:19.699 And if they come, it will be a detachment that Allah cuts off. 00:08:19.699 --> 00:08:24.699 Or do you think we should head straight for the House, and fight whoever bars us from it?" 00:08:24.699 --> 00:08:26.980 Al-Hafiz said in *Fath al-Bari*: 00:08:26.980 --> 00:08:31.980 "The meaning is that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) consulted his Companions 00:08:31.980 --> 00:08:36.980 As to whether they should march against those who supported Quraysh at their dwellings 00:08:36.980 --> 00:08:37.980 And take their families captive. 00:08:37.980 --> 00:08:41.980 If they came to assist their people, they would be preoccupied with them, 00:08:41.980 --> 00:08:44.980 Leaving him and his Companions alone with Quraysh. 00:08:44.980 --> 00:08:49.980 This is what was meant by his saying: 'it will be a detachment that Allah cuts off.'" 00:08:49.980 --> 00:08:54.179 Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 00:08:54.179 --> 00:08:55.179 "O Messenger of Allah, 00:08:55.179 --> 00:08:58.179 You set out intending only this House, 00:08:58.179 --> 00:09:02.179 Not desiring to kill anyone or wage war on anyone. 00:09:02.179 --> 00:09:04.179 So proceed toward it, 00:09:04.179
