Allah the Exalted says:
“For those who do good is the best (reward) and more (thereto). Neither dust nor ignominy cometh near their faces. Such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein.” (10:26)
Muslim narrated on the authority of Suhayb al-Rumi, may Allah be pleased with him,
that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
"When the people of Paradise enter Paradise,
the Blessed and Exalted One will say,
'Do you desire anything more that I may grant you?'
They will reply,
'Has He not brightened our faces?
Has He not admitted us into Paradise and saved us from the Fire?'
He said:
'Then the veil will be lifted,'
and they will not have been given anything more beloved to them than looking upon their Lord, the Blessed and Exalted.
In one narration, it adds:
'Then he recited this verse:'
“For those who do good is the best (reward) and more (thereto). Neither dust nor ignominy cometh near their faces. Such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein.” (10:26)
It is for this reason that the Messenger, peace be upon him, used to supplicate with this prayer:
'And I ask You for the delight of looking upon Your Countenance,
and the longing to meet You,
without any harmful distress or misleading trial.'"
