They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear a false oath knowingly.” (58:14) 00:00:41.929 --> 00:00:45.890 Have you not looked with the eye of your heart, O Muhammad? 00:00:45.890 --> 00:00:50.890 To see those people who took as allies a people with whom Allah is angry. 00:00:50.890 --> 00:00:52.890 They are the hypocrites. 00:00:52.890 --> 00:00:55.890 They befriended the Jews and offered them counsel. 00:00:55.890 --> 00:01:01.890 These people who took as allies those with whom Allah is angry are not— 00:01:01.890 --> 00:01:04.890 from among your own people or your own faith. 00:01:04.890 --> 00:01:08.890 Nor are they of the Jews with whom Allah is angry. 00:01:08.890 --> 00:01:10.890 They swear to lies. 00:01:10.890 --> 00:01:14.890 This refers to their statements to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. 00:01:14.890 --> 00:01:17.890 “When the hypocrites come unto thee (O Muhammad), they say: We bear witness that thou art indeed Allah's messenger. And Allah knoweth that thou art indeed His messenger, and Allah beareth witness that the hypocrites indeed are speaking falsely.” (63:1) 00:01:17.890 --> 00:01:22.890 They are liars, neither believing in him nor affirming his message. 00:01:22.890 --> 00:01:28.530 Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment. 00:01:28.530 --> 00:01:35.530 Indeed, evil is that which they used to do. 00:01:35.530 --> 00:01:39.530 They have taken their oaths as a shield. 00:01:39.530 --> 00:01:43.530 Thus, they obstructed the way of Allah. 00:01:43.530 --> 00:01:47.530 Thus, they obstructed the way of Allah. 00:01:47.530 --> 00:01:51.530 For them is a humiliating punishment. 00:01:51.530 --> 00:01:57.489 Allah has prepared for these hypocrites who befriended the Jews— 00:01:57.489 --> 00:02:00.489 a severe punishment in the Hereafter. 00:02:00.489 --> 00:02:03.489 Indeed, evil is that which they used to do in this world, 00:02:03.489 --> 00:02:08.490 by deceiving the Muslims and offering counsel to their enemies among the Jews. 00:02:08.490 --> 00:02:14.580 They made their oaths and pledges a shield to protect themselves from being killed. 00:02:14.580 --> 00:02:18.580 They use them to defend their own lives, their wealth, and their offspring. 00:02:18.580 --> 00:02:22.580 This is because whenever their hypocrisy is exposed, 00:02:22.580 --> 00:02:26.580 they swear to the believers in Allah that they are indeed among them. 00:02:26.580 --> 00:02:32.580 By these oaths, which they took as a shield, they obstructed the believers from the way of Allah regarding them. 00:02:32.580 --> 00:02:36.580 For them is a punishment in the Fire that will humiliate them. 00:02:36.580 --> 00:02:46.219 Their wealth and their children will not avail them against Allah at all. 00:02:46.219 --> 00:02:52.219 Those are the companions of the Fire. 00:02:53.219 --> 00:02:57.219 They will abide therein eternally. 00:02:57.219 --> 00:03:03.090 Their wealth will not avail these hypocrites on the Day of Resurrection, 00:03:03.090 --> 00:03:07.090 so that they might ransom themselves with it from the humiliating punishment of Allah. 00:03:07.090 --> 00:03:13.090 Nor will their children be able to help them or save them from Allah when He punishes them. 00:03:13.090 --> 00:03:17.090 These are the ones who took as allies a people with whom Allah is angry. 00:03:17.090 --> 00:03:21.090 They are the hypocrites, the companions of the Fire. 00:03:21.090 --> 00:03:25.090 They will remain in the Fire forever, without end. 00:03:49.979 --> 00:03:51.979 These are the ones whom Allah has mentioned. 00:03:51.979 --> 00:03:53.979 They are the companions of the Fire. 00:03:53.979 --> 00:03:59.979 On the day Allah resurrects them all from their graves, alive in the same state they were in before they died, 00:03:59.979 --> 00:04:05.979 they will swear to Him just as they swear to you, lying and acting falsely. 00:04:05.979 --> 00:04:12.979 They think that in their oaths and their swearing by Allah, they are upon some truth. 00:04:13.229 --> 00:04:17.230 Verily, it is they who are the liars in what they swear to. 00:04:17.230 --> 00:04:26.100 “The devil hath engrossed them and so hath caused them to forget remembrance of Allah. They are the devil's party. As for such, He hath written faith upon their hearts and hath strengthened them with a Spirit from Him, and He will bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide. Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him. They are Allah's party. Verily, the soldiers of Allah and His allies are the ones who remain and succeed by attaining what they sought and pursued through their allegiance in this world and their obedience to their Lord.
