I went out in an army
The Commander of the Faithful, Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, was sent by him
To fight the Romans
The Romans captured me and took me to their king
They said that this is one of the companions of Muhammad
Their king, Caesar, told me
Can you become a Christian?
And I give you half of my property
If you gave me everything you own and all the property of the Arabs
I have not returned from my religion even for the blink of an eye
He said then I will kill you
You said that and that
So he ordered me to be crucified
He told the Romans to throw him close to his body
He offers me to recant my religion
I abstain
So they put me down
Then they put me in a house without food
Except wine and pork
I remained for three days without eating or drinking
Until I bent my neck
So they took me out
Caesar told me
What prevented you from eating and drinking?
I said
However, I know that it is permissible for me to eat these impurities when necessary

Then he called upon Caesar with great power
He poured oil into it until it boiled
He called a man from prison
So he ordered it
Then throw it into the boiling oil

Caesar said to them

So I cried

He thought I was alarmed
And he said
Give it back to me
So he asked me
What made you cry?
I said
It is one soul
Now throw it into this pot and go
I wanted to have the same number of hairs
He was thrown into hell for the sake of God
Caesar said to me
Would you accept my head and I will abandon you?
So I told him
And for all Muslim prisoners
He said yes
So I kissed his head
So he released me and all the prisoners
So I came to Omar, may God be pleased with him
I told him my news
Omar said
Every Muslim has the right to kiss your head
And I start
So he kissed my head
