Shifting the Qibla
The qibla was moved from Jerusalem to the Grand Mosque
In the middle of Rajab of the second year of the Hijra
So God sent down
We may see your face turning in the sky
Let us give you a kiss that pleases you
So turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque
And wherever you are, keep your faces straight
And those who were given the Book know that it is the truth from their Lord
And God is unaware of what they do
Imam Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated it in their Sahihs
On the authority of Al-Baraa bin Azib, may God be pleased with them both, he said
We prayed with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace

Sixteen months or seventeen months
Then we were directed towards the Kaaba
Al-Hakim narrated in Al-Mustadrak with a good chain of transmission
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said
The first thing that was copied from the Qur’an as mentioned to us
The matter of the qiblah, God said
To God belong the East and the West
Wherever they turn, that is the face of God
God is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing
So he received the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
So he prayed towards the Holy House
And he left the old house
And he said
Foolish people will say
What turned them away from the direction they used to follow?
They mean the Holy House
So he copied it and God sent it to the Ancient House
And he said
And from wherever you come out, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque
And wherever you are, keep your faces straight
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said in the Almighty’s saying:
And wherever you are, keep your faces straight
He said
The order indicates that he will receive her wherever he settles
God Almighty did not restrict going out for any purpose
Rather, he stated his goal and generalized his principle
From where he came out to whatever exit he was
Whether prayer, battle, Hajj, or anything else
He is commanded to receive the Grand Mosque
He and the nation
Wherever they were on earth
He and the nation are commanded to receive him
The two verses dealt with the conditions of the entire nation

And on their way to where they ended up

This informed the generality of the matter
By receiving in the three situations from which the servant does not stop
Imam Al-Suhaili said

By heading to the Sacred House in three verses

The second is the people of suspicion and hypocrisy

Muhammad regretted parting with our religion
He will return to Him as He returned to Our Qiblah
Obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadan
In the second year of migration
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, died
He fasted nine Ramadans
God Almighty said
O you who believe!
Fasting is prescribed for you
As it was written for those before you
As it was written for those before you
Perhaps you may become righteous

In the month of Ramadan

Gabriel used to teach him the Qur’an during Ramadan

And commanding them to fast
