I moved to Kufa and then to Basra
I teach people the Qur’an
I used to live with the Book of God and recommend it to those around me
I once visited some people from Al-Amsaar
When I left them, they said to me, “Hosanna.”
So I told them: I advise you to fear God and I advise you to recite the Qur’an
It is a light in the dark night and a guidance in the day
They worked on it to the best of their ability
If a calamity presents itself, give your money rather than your debt
If the affliction has passed, give your money and yourself rather than your religion
The one who is ruined is the one who ruins his religion
And the one who is robbed of his religion
They knew that there would be no need after Paradise
There is no need after the fire
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, told us about a man among those before us
He developed an ulcer on his hand
When she hurt him, he took a knife and cut his hand with it
Then his blood bled and did not stop until he died
God Almighty said, “My servant hastened to me himself.”
Paradise was forbidden to him
So I was talking about this
I warn against a man killing himself out of fear of misfortune
