There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves, who is grieved by what you suffer, concerned for your well-being, and to the believers, he is most kind and merciful.
Al-Sa'di, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, possessed the most perfect and noble of character.
In every single trait, he stood at the very pinnacle.
He was gentle, soft-spoken, and accessible to the people.
He would respond to the call of whoever invited him.
He would mend the heart of whoever asked of him.
He would never deprive them nor turn them away disappointed.
And if his Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, requested something of him,
he would agree to it, provided there was no harm in it.
He would accept the good from those who did well and pardon those who erred.
He never associated with a companion without treating them with the most perfect and excellent conduct.
He would treat them with the utmost kindness.
And he would bear with them with the utmost patience.
