A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah.
The methodology of Allah is what unites the paths of this world and the Hereafter.
The fundamental principle regarding the nature of human life is
that the path of this world and the path of the Hereafter should converge within it.
Thus, the path toward the well-being of this world
is the very same path toward the well-being of the Hereafter.
Productivity, growth, and abundance in working the earth
are themselves qualifications for attaining the reward of the Hereafter,
just as they are the qualifications for the prosperity of this worldly life.
Faith, God-consciousness, and righteous deeds
are the causes for the flourishing of this earth,
just as they are the means for obtaining the pleasure of Allah and His reward in the afterlife.
This is the fundamental principle regarding the nature of human life,
which cannot be realized except when life is established
upon the methodology of Allah that He has chosen for mankind.
It is the methodology that transforms work into worship,
and makes stewardship on earth, in accordance with the law of Allah, a religious obligation.
For stewardship is work, productivity, abundance, and growth,
along with justice in distribution, through which provision overflows for everyone,
and the devotion of all people to the Lord of the worlds.
