She participated in the apostasy wars
Until my death came at the beginning of the reign of the Rightly Guided Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him
I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, one day
So I said, O Messenger of God
I see everything for men
I don't see women mentioned
So God revealed this verse
The Muslim men and women, the believing men and believing women
And the two qanatin and the qanat
And honest men and women
And the patient men and women
And the humble ones
And the patient men and women
And the humble men and women
And the men and women who give charity
And those who fast
And those who fast
And those who fast
And the fasting men, and the fasting women, and the men and women who guard their private parts, and the men and women who remember God often, for whom God has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.
When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, learned of Musaylimah’s apostasy and his claim of prophethood, he sent him my son, Habib Ibn Zaid. When he met him, Musaylimah betrayed him, captured him, and cut his body piece by piece until he died.
When the news came to me of the killing of my son Habib at the hands of Musaylimah, I was patient and recovered, then I said, “I have prepared for something like this, and I seek reward from God.”
After the death of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, some tribes abandoned Islam, so the Caliph Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, decided to fight them.
In fact, battles took place between them in most corners of the Arabian Peninsula, known as the Wars of Apostasy, so they joined the delegation of Khaled bin Al-Walid, may God be pleased with him, who went out to fight Musaylimah, the killer of Habib’s two sons.
I participated with my other son, Abdullah bin Zaid, in the Battle of Al-Yamamah, the toughest battle of the Apostasy Wars, and I performed well in it. In that battle, I received eleven wounds and my hand was cut off, but I did not care about it.
I went to the place of Musaylimah and found my son Abdullah had preceded me there and finished him off after my brutality had befallen him, may God be pleased with him. So I said to him, “Did you kill the infidel and take revenge on your brother?” He said, “Yes,” so I prostrated in thanks to God. Who am I?
