And in the Hereafter, there is a test.

Just as there are examinations for students in schools in this world,

So too is there an examination in the Hereafter for all servants.

Yet, what a vast difference there is between the two examinations.

For the examination of this world, even if there is loss in it,

00:00:55.729 --> 00:00:57.729
It can be compensated for.

00:00:57.729 --> 00:00:59.729
But the examination of the Hereafter,

00:00:59.729 --> 00:01:03.729
Cannot be compensated for under any circumstances.

And every examination must have questions.

The questions of the worldly examination are limited.

As for the questions of the Hereafter,

They are comprehensive, covering everything that occurred in a person's life.

They are questions about actions,

00:01:20.819 --> 00:01:22.819
Questions about words,

00:01:22.819 --> 00:01:24.819
Questions about wealth,

00:01:24.819 --> 00:01:26.819
Questions about intentions,

00:01:26.819 --> 00:01:28.819
Questions about beliefs,

00:01:28.819 --> 00:01:30.819
Questions about time,

00:01:30.819 --> 00:01:32.819
Questions about trusts,

00:01:32.819 --> 00:01:35.819
And questions about grievances and rights.

00:01:35.819 --> 00:01:37.819
They are many questions;

00:01:37.819 --> 00:01:43.819
Indeed, they are questions about everything, great and small, significant and trivial.

Allah the Exalted says:

﴾So by your Lord, We will surely question them all﴿

﴾About what they used to do.﴿

What a momentous situation this is,

And what terrifying questions these are,

Directed at the one being held accountable before the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Allah the Exalted says:

﴾And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned.﴿

On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him,

From the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said:

"The feet of the son of Adam will not move from before his Lord until he is asked about five things:

00:02:28.860 --> 00:02:30.860
About his life, in what he spent it;

00:02:30.860 --> 00:02:33.860
About his youth, in what he wore it out;

00:02:33.860 --> 00:02:37.860
About his wealth, from where he earned it and in what he spent it;

00:02:37.860 --> 00:02:40.860
And what he did with what he knew."

And on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both,

That the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

"Indeed, every one of you is a shepherd and every one of you is responsible for his flock.

00:02:52.960 --> 00:02:55.960
The leader who is over the people is a shepherd,

00:02:56.960 --> 00:02:58.960
And he is responsible for his flock.

00:02:58.960 --> 00:03:01.960
A man is a shepherd over his household,

00:03:01.960 --> 00:03:03.960
And he is responsible for his flock.

00:03:03.960 --> 00:03:08.960
A woman is a shepherd over her husband's house and his children,

00:03:08.960 --> 00:03:10.960
And she is responsible for them.

00:03:10.960 --> 00:03:14.990
A man's servant is a shepherd over his master's wealth,

00:03:14.990 --> 00:03:16.990
And he is responsible for it.

00:03:16.990 --> 00:03:19.990
Indeed, every one of you is responsible for his flock."

This examination is the true examination,

For which a person must prepare in the best possible way.

00:03:29.150 --> 00:03:36.150
So strive to ensure your answers are pleasing to the One who directs these questions to you.

In the presence of Allah, happiness pours into the hearts.

Increase your closeness to the Most Merciful so that joy may embrace you.

Attach your soul to your Lord and fill the surroundings with light.

Everyone who obeys the Lord dissolves into the sweetest of feelings.

It is darkness, then light, and revelation thereafter.

If Allah wills a thing, He says to it "Be," and it is.
