A verse and its Tafsir
Allah the Exalted says
“Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (39:53)
This is general and applies to all sins, including disbelief, polytheism, doubt, hypocrisy, murder, immorality, and other acts; whoever repents from any of these, Allah will accept his repentance.
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
