A hadith and commentary
It is recorded in the authentic collections that a man drank alcohol.
He was brought to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
He was then flogged.
A man said,
"O Allah, curse him!"
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
"Do not curse him."
"For he loves Allah and His Messenger."
Commentary:
Fill your heart with the love of Allah and His Messenger.
For that is among the greatest causes of forgiveness and contentment,
and of the immense goodness that comes from Allah.
