00:00:00.820 --> 00:00:06.059
A hadith and commentary

00:00:06.059 --> 00:00:10.339
It is recorded in the authentic collections that a man drank alcohol.

00:00:10.339 --> 00:00:14.619
He was brought to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

00:00:14.619 --> 00:00:16.140
He was then flogged.

00:00:16.140 --> 00:00:17.899
A man said,

00:00:17.899 --> 00:00:20.289
"O Allah, curse him!"

00:00:20.289 --> 00:00:23.890
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,

00:00:23.890 --> 00:00:25.690
"Do not curse him."

00:00:25.690 --> 00:00:29.370
"For he loves Allah and His Messenger."

00:00:29.370 --> 00:00:31.570
Commentary:

00:00:31.609 --> 00:00:34.929
Fill your heart with the love of Allah and His Messenger.

00:00:34.929 --> 00:00:39.250
For that is among the greatest causes of forgiveness and contentment,

00:00:39.250 --> 00:00:41.850
and of the immense goodness that comes from Allah.
