A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah.
Optimism.
Optimism is a feeling of the heart.
Its motivation is having a good opinion of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic.
It stems from knowing Allah, the Exalted.
And knowing His most beautiful names.
And His sublime attributes.
For His names, glory be to Him—
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
The Kind, the Benign,
The Powerful, the Almighty,
And other names of majesty and beauty—
Yield the fruit of hope in Him, glory be to Him,
And a good opinion of Him,
And the realization that His relief is near,
And that with hardship comes ease.
The believer who knows his Lord,
And His most beautiful names,
Will never allow into his heart
Pessimism, despair, or frustration,
No matter how intense the trial becomes,
Or how much falsehood spreads at any
Given time.
We have in the Messenger of Allah,
Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the perfect example.
For here he is, saying
To Khabbab Ibn al-Aratt, may Allah be pleased with him,
When he complained
To him about the torture of the polytheists,
And asked for victory
During the Meccan period:
"By Allah, this matter will surely be perfected,
Until a traveler journeys
From San'a to Hadramawt,
Fearing none but Allah,
And the wolf for his sheep;
But you are a people
Who are impatient."
Narrated by al-Bukhari.
And here is the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
During the Battle of the Trench,
When the disbelievers gathered against them,
And attacked Medina
From all its sides,
And the Muslims were shaken with a
Severe shaking.
He was broadcasting hope and optimism
Regarding the triumph of this religion over Persia
And Rome.
He would say while striking with the pickaxe:
"Allahu Akbar!
I have been given the keys of al-Sham.
Allahu Akbar!
I have been given the keys of Persia."
The intensity of the trial
Is the prelude to victory,
Just as the
Companions of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, understood,
When Allah said about them:
"And when the
Believers saw the confederates..."
“And when the true believers saw the clans, they said: This is that which Allah and His messenger promised us. Allah and His messenger are true. It did but confirm them in their faith and resignation.” (33:22)
Allah and His Messenger,
And Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth,
And it increased them only in
Faith and submission.
Among the signs of optimism
That herald the nearness of victory
In our time:
First,
The narratives from the verses and hadiths
That contain the promise of Allah,
Almighty and Majestic, regarding the triumph of this religion
Over all the earth, over all religions,
And the conquest of
Constantinople and Rome.
It is the promise of Allah; Allah does not fail
To fulfill His promise,
But most people
Do not know.
Second,
The global and local return
To this religion,
And the entry of groups of disbelievers into it,
And the repentance of many
Of the children of the Ummah and their guidance.
Third,
The need of humanity today,
As it lives in this misery,
For a savior,
And there is no savior for it except the religion of Islam,
The religion of innate nature, reason,
And knowledge.
Fourth,
The decline of the West and its regression,
And the inciting of the disbelievers
Against one another,
So that they may exhaust each other,
Along with what their countries are witnessing
Of economic and moral collapse,
And disasters,
And divine punishments.
Fifth,
The preservation of the religion of Islam
From human interventions
That tampered with corrupted creeds
And distorted them;
For it is the religion of Allah that is destined to prevail.
Sixth,
The awakening that the Muslims are witnessing,
And the strength of the sense of resistance,
As they see the conflict
Between truth and falsehood,
Where many aspects
Of the truth have been revealed
That they were not aware of,
And many aspects of falsehood
That they were ignorant of,
And were ignorant of what
Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, informed us of
Regarding the enmity and hatred of the disbelievers.
Likewise, those who belong to the truth,
From among the callers and the mujahidin,
Their commitment to it has strengthened,
As has their enthusiasm for supporting it,
And sacrificing for the sake of Allah,
Almighty and Majestic.
Seventh,
The reaching of injustice, arrogance, and corruption
By the enemies of the religion to their peak,
From among the disbelievers and hypocrites,
And nothing remains but for the promise of Allah, glory be to Him,
To be fulfilled against them
With destruction and eradication,
And the empowerment of the believers,
“And that Allah may prove those who believe, and may blight the disbelievers.” (3:141)
And He destroys the disbelievers.
