A summary of the concepts held by the Ahl al-Sunnah.
The science of logic.
A discipline that discusses concepts and propositions.
And the methodology for perceiving and verifying them.
Its proponents claim that it consists of general rules.
Which, if observed, protect the mind from errors in thought.
Yet its greatest flaw.
Is its reliance solely upon human reason.
And elevating it to a rival of the sacred texts.
Even if there are some particulars within the science of logic that may be of benefit.
They are eclipsed by the errors and obfuscations it contains.
Therefore, it is better to avoid it, fleeing from falling into its falsehoods.
This is in line with what Allah the Almighty said regarding intoxicants.
“They question thee about strong drink and games of chance. Say: In both is great sin, and (some) utility for men; but the sin of them is greater than their usefulness. And they ask thee what they ought to spend. Say: that which is superfluous. Thus Allah maketh plain to you (His) revelations, that haply ye may reflect.” (2:219)

If there is a necessity to understand it and benefit from the truths it contains.
And to refute the falsehoods within it.
Then it should be studied only by certain scholars.
Those who are well-versed in the sciences of the Book and the Sunnah.
And who hold fast to them to avoid falling into its slips and deviations.
They should study alongside it the book.
"Refutation of the Logicians" by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him.
For he provided great benefit in it, excelled, and dismantled it from its foundations.
He preceded Europe in this, as Hegel critiqued it centuries after him.
