A new challenge from me
I am one of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
I am originally from Persia
I was a slave slave
Sold as chattel is sold
Until a woman from Mecca bought me something
So she set me free
But her husband liked me
So he adopted me
Then we entered Islam together
When Islam abolished adoption
I became called his master
We became brothers in religion
My heart is attached to the Qur’an
The word of God became my work all the time
When she immigrated to the city
I was the imam of the people there
Until the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came
So he became the imam
And one night
I was reading the Qur’an in the mosque with a beautiful voice
So Aisha, may God be pleased with her, passed by me
So I heard my reading
She couldn't sit and listen to me
Until I was late for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
When she came to him
He asked her why she was late
She said that there was a man in the mosque
He has the best voice I have ever heard reciting the Qur’an
So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, took his robe
He went out to listen to me reading
He recognized me and said
Praise be to God who created people like you in my nation
One day, peace and blessings of God be upon him, he said while giving advice to his companions
The Qur’an has four parts
From me and from Ibn Masoud
And Ubayy bin Ka'b
And Moaz bin Jabal
This is to distinguish us from others in reading the Qur’an
We devoted ourselves to him
Even though I am a foreigner, I am a Persian
However, the Companions, may God be pleased with them
They valued me and gave me priority over others
The Commander of the Faithful, Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, said:
When death came to him
If so-and-so was alive
I appointed him the caliphate
That concerns me
I participated with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
In all invasions
Then I participated with the Muslims in fighting the apostates
And in the battle of Al-Yamamah
When the Muslims were exposed in the first place
The banner of the immigrants fell from Zaid bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him
I went forward and took the flag
And people told me
We fear that we will come from you
So I said
How miserable I am, then, who carries the Qur’an
The Muslims came before me
This is not what we used to do with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
Then I dug a hole in the ground
So I got up there with the flag
I kept fighting and fighting
The blows come to me from every direction
Until the wounds made me sad
And I fell to the ground
I'm covered in blood
The battle ended with the victory of the Muslims
People came to inspect the dead
They found me and Bermak
So I told them
What did my brother and master Abu Hudhayfah do?
They said he was killed
I said
Lay me next to him
And they said
Here he was killed next to you
His leg is at your head
It made me smile
This is my brother
We converted to Islam together
And we lived together
And we died together
Then she died after that
