The Garden of Guidance. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: “Those who say: Our Lord! Lo! we believe. So forgive us our sins and guard us from the punishment of Fire;” (3:16) "The patient, the true, the obedient, those who spend [in the cause of Allah], and those who seek forgiveness before dawn." On the authority of 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked: "O Prophet of Allah, which deed is best?" He replied: "Faith in Allah, believing in Him, and striving in His cause." The man said: "I want something easier than that, O Messenger of Allah." He replied: "Tolerance and patience." The man said: "I want something easier than that, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Do not accuse Allah of injustice in anything He has decreed for you." Related by Ahmad. A benefit: 'Umar ibn Dharr (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Whoever is firmly resolved upon patience in all matters has truly attained all good, and has sought the strongholds of righteousness and the completeness of rewards."
