There are many narrations about Omar ibn Al-Khattab’s conversion to Islam, may God be pleased with him, although they are weak.
It appears that Islam entered his heart, may God be pleased with him.

What was narrated by Imam Al-Bukhari in his Sahih
On the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, may God be pleased with him, what he said
Omar, may God be pleased with him, said
While I was sleeping with their gods
When a man came with a calf and slaughtered it
He shouted loudly at him
I have never heard someone screaming louder than him
He says
Oh my goodness
It's a good thing
An eloquent man
He says there is no god but You
The people jumped up
I said
I won't leave until I know what's behind this
Then call
Oh my goodness
It's a good thing
An eloquent man
He says
There is no god but God
So I stood up
We did not like to be told, “This is a prophet.”
Imam Al-Bayhaqi said
The apparent meaning of this narration suggests that Omar, may God be pleased with him, himself
He heard a screamer screaming from the calf that had been slaughtered
Likewise, it is clear in a weak narration on the authority of Omar, may God be pleased with him, regarding his conversion to Islam
All other narrations indicate that this priest
Tell about what you saw and heard
And God knows best
Then Imam Al-Bayhaqi narrated the hadith of Sawad bin Qarib
And he said
It seems that this is the priest
Whose name was not mentioned in the authentic hadith

On the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, may God be pleased with him, he said
By God, we were not able to pray at the Kaaba in public
