God Almighty said
Say: By the grace of God and His mercy, let them rejoice in this. It is better than what they gather.
Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them, said
God’s grace is the Qur’an and His mercy is Islam
That is, with this guidance and the religion of truth that came to them from God
Let them be happy, for it is the first thing they will be happy about.
It is better than what they collect
That is, from the wreckage of the world and what is in it
From the mortal flower that is inevitably gone
Ibn Abi Hatim gave an explanation of this verse
When the Iraqi tax was presented to Omar, may God be pleased with him
Omar came out and supported him
So Omar started counting the camels
If it is more than that
So Omar started saying
Praise be to God Almighty

This is by God's grace and mercy
Omar said
I lied
This is not what God Almighty says
Say, “By God’s grace and mercy,” let them rejoice in that
It is better than what they collect
