In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari Surah Al-Furqan In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Those who do not hope to meet us said If only the angels had not descended upon us, or had we seen our Lord They were arrogant in themselves and extremely arrogant And the polytheists who are not afraid to meet us said Did God not send down angels to us so that they could tell us that Muhammad is right in what he says? Or we see our Lord and He tells us that Those who said this article were arrogant in themselves They went beyond arrogance by saying that On the day they see the angels, there will be no good news on that day for the criminals They say it is a blocked stone The day those who said will be seen If only the angels had not descended upon us, or had we seen our Lord On the day they see the angels, there will be no good news for them on that day Angels say to criminals Forbidden and forbidden to you today is the good news that you will have from God We presented the work they had done and made it in vain We deliberately did what these criminals did So we made it invalid Like the appearance of dust if sunlight enters through a skylight The observer thinks it is dust and nothing The companions of Paradise on that day will have a better place to stay and a better resting place The people of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection are better and stable It is the place where they settle Who are these polytheists who are proud of their money? And the best of them is in it And the day the sky will be divided with clouds And the angels descended The kingdom on that day belongs to the Most Merciful It was a difficult day for the unbelievers On the Day of Resurrection, when the sky will be split with clouds The angels descend to earth The true kingdom on that day belongs purely to the Most Merciful, to the exclusion of anyone else The day the sky was split with clouds was a very difficult day for the people of disbelief in God And the day the oppressor bites his hands, he will say: I wish I had taken a path with the Messenger Oh, I wish I had not taken so-and-so as a friend And the day the oppressor himself bites the polytheist with his Lord on his hands Regretting and regretting what was wrong with God And he says I wish I had taken a path to salvation from the punishment of God in this world with the Messenger Oh, I wish I had not taken so-and-so as a friend And so-and-so was said to be Ubayy ibn Khalaf, and it was said to be Satan He led me astray from the Remembrance after it had come to me Satan was a traitor to man He led me astray from believing in the Qur’an after it came to me from God So he turned me away from him Satan was a Muslim to man due to the affliction he inflicted on him Not a savior or a savior The Messenger said, O Lord, some people have considered this Qur’an abandoned The Messenger said, “The day the oppressor bites his hands.” O Lord, the people to whom You sent me They considered this Qur’an abandoned They turned away from him and did not hear him Likewise, We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals And your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper And just as We have made for you, O Muhammad, enemies from among the polytheists of your people Thus We made for everyone whom We informed before you an enemy from among the polytheists of his people None of them were singled out for that O Muhammad, your Lord is sufficient as a guide to guide you to the truth And a supporter for you over your enemies Do not let your polytheist enemies terrorize you I will support you against them And those who disbelieved said, “If only the Qur’an had not been revealed to him in one sentence.” Likewise, let us strengthen your heart with it We recited it in a hymn And those who disbelieved said Was the Qur’an not revealed to Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, in one sentence? The Torah was also revealed to Moses in one sentence God said Likewise, it was revealed to you verse after verse Let us correct your heart’s resolve and your soul’s certainty with it And one thing after another we taught you until you memorized it They will not bring you an example except that we will bring you the truth and the best explanation O Muhammad, let these polytheists not come to you with an example that they can use Unless we bring you the truth with what we nullify what he brought It is better than what he gave of the proverb in explanation and detail Those who will be gathered on their faces to Hell Those are in a worse place and more astray from the path These are the polytheists, O Muhammad, who say to you If the Qur’an had not been revealed to him in one sentence Those who will be gathered on their faces to Hell on the Day of Resurrection They will be led to Hell An evil residing in this world and the hereafter from the people of Paradise in Paradise And more misguided than them in this world And We gave Moses the Book And We made his brother Aaron with him a minister So we said: “He went to the people who denied Our signs.” So we destroyed them completely And We gave Moses the Torah And We made with him his brother Aaron a helper and supporter So we told them Go to Pharaoh and his people who denied our information and evidence So we destroyed them completely When Noah's people denied the messengers, We drowned them And We made them a sign for mankind And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment And the people of Noah when they denied Our messengers We drowned them in a flood And We made our drowning of them a sermon and a lesson for the people to take into account And We have prepared for them in the Hereafter a painful punishment Aad, Thamud, and the Companions of Ar-Rass And many centuries in between And we gave him proverbs And we both exonerated each other We also destroyed Aad, Thamud, and the Companions of Ar-Rass They were a people who were at a well And We destroyed many of these nations, which we have named for you as many nations And all these nations that we destroyed Like us, she has proverbs We alerted her to our arguments against her We did not destroy a nation until after informing them of their excuse And all of those whose affairs we mentioned to you We eradicated them So We destroyed them with torment and destroyed them all They came to the village that rained bad rain Did they not see it? Rather, they did not hope for resurrection Those who had abandoned the Qur’an came to the village that God had rained stones on and destroyed them therein It is Sodom, the village of Lot's people Didn't these polytheists see that village? And the punishment of God befell her They consider and remember They did not deny Muhammad in what he brought to them from God Because they had not seen what happened to the village that was described But they denied him because they are people who do not fear resurrection after death And if these polytheists see you They only treat you as a mockery, making fun of you They say Is this the one whom God sent to us as a messenger from among His creation? This almost led us astray from our gods that we worship It prevents us from worshiping it if we had not been patient with it It will be made clear to them when they see the punishment of God that has befallen them Whoever rides on a path other than guidance And you seek a way in return You are delusional Have you seen him who takes his own desires as his god? Will you be a guardian over him? Or do you think that most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle, nay, they are more astray from the path Or do you think, O Muhammad, that most of these polytheists hear what is recited to them? So they understand or understand what they see of God’s arguments They are nothing but animals that do not understand what is said to them Rather, they are animals more astray from the path Because the animals are guided to their pastures and submitted to their masters These infidels do not obey their Lord They are not grateful for the blessings of those who bestowed upon them Have you not seen your Lord how He extended the shadow, and if He had willed, He could have made it stationary? If He had willed, He would have made it stationary, then We made the sun a guide for it Have you not seen, O Muhammad, how your Lord extends the shadow? It is between dawn and sunrise If He had willed, He would have made it permanent and never fade away Stretched out and not diminished by the sun Then We showed you, O people, that it was replaced by the sun when it rose upon it He is a creation of your Lord He creates it if He wants and destroys it if He wants Then We took him into our hands for a short time Then we captured that evidence from the sun over the shadow to us in a hidden and quick way With the spoils that we bring in the evening Because the shadow after sunset does not disappear completely at once Darkness cannot be accepted as a whole But he takes hold of that shadow secretly Little by little Every part of him is followed by a part of darkness Which is the extent of the shadow and then made the sun a guide to it It is He who has made a garment for you, O people, tonight And make sleep a rest for your bodies And make the day full of life It is He who sends the winds bringing good tidings of His mercy And We sent down from the sky pure water Let us revive the town of Nita and water it And We give it to drink from among the many livestock and people We have created It is God who sends the winds that fertilize life Or from life and the rain that He sends down upon His servants And We sent down from the clouds pure water Let us revive a barren land with him And We give water to it from whom We have created, livestock, animals, and many people And We have distributed it among them so that they may remember, but most of the people refused except as ungrateful We have divided this water which We sent down from the sky So that they may remember My blessings upon them and thank My goodness to them Most people refused but were ungrateful to my blessings upon them If We had willed, We could have sent a warner to every town So do not obey the disbelievers, and fight them with a great struggle If we had wished, O Muhammad, we could have sent a warner to all of Egypt and every city He warns them of Our sorrow for their disbelief in us Many of the burdens we burdened you with will be lightened for you This means that you will lose a lot of provisions But we burdened you with the burden of all the villages If you are patient, your patience with him will require the honor that God has prepared for you with Him Do not obey the unbelievers in what they call you to do, such as worship their gods But he struggled against them with this Qur’an with a great struggle Until he is led to acknowledge what is in it and submit to acting on it
