Summary of Sunni concepts
Love requires following the beloved
If the abstraction of love and its devotion to God Almighty relates to the first part of the two parts of the martyrdom
I bear witness that there is no god but God
Love relates to the second part
I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God
On the one hand, it is obligatory to follow the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, in worship and obedience
Because that is only known through him, may God bless him and grant him peace
As God Almighty said
Say, “If you love God, follow me. God will love you and forgive you your sins.”
God is Forgiving and Merciful
Say, “Obey God and the Messenger.”
If they turn away, then God does not love the disbelievers
Whoever does not follow the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, in worshiping and obeying God and does not submit to him
He violated love
His action was evidence that what he disagreed with was more beloved to him than God and His Messenger
As God Almighty said
Say if your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, and your clan
And the money you have made, and the trade you fear will decline, and the homes you are satisfied with
I love you more than God and His Messenger and jihad in His cause
So they waited until God brought His command
And God does not guide the rebellious people
Because of his violation, he deserved to be punished
And he is described in the verse as one of the sinners
