Al-Hasan Al-Basri, may God have mercy on him, said
He died in the year one hundred and ten AH
If a man seeks knowledge
It was not long before he saw this in his eyes and was humbled
His tongue, his hand, his prayers, and his asceticism
Sharia knowledge has an impact and returns on its people and its bearers
He purifies them and refines their morals
He straightens their crookedness and guides them to the straight path
Who does not live this meaning in scientific life?
It was not harvested or planted
It was as God Almighty said
Like those who carried the Torah
Then they did not carry it like a donkey carrying books
It is similar to what the poet said
Like a deer in the desert, it is killed by thirst
And the water above their backs is carried
He lives among the joys of science
Then he does not see any religion or character in him
Honey for that knowledge
And for those books that are decorated with it
And the issues he memorized
Even if the people of knowledge preserved it, it would preserve them
If they magnified him in the souls, he would be great
The right to knowledge is a blessed work
He has mellow morals and outstanding reverence
And great literature
And you are perhaps a great creation
Therefore, if he finds dignity
If he spoke, it would be good or bad
And when he prays, the prayer of the pious is known from him
Polite and kind-hearted
Gentle sermon
He speaks with good and pure speech
He does not rave, swear or insult
The believer is not one to attack or curse
Nor the obscene and obscene
He sees an ascetic who is not looking forward to the world
There is no competition for it
Or Khadi with the Khadi
Rather, he takes it in moderation
He obtains from it what will benefit him for the Hereafter
