Forty hadiths on the virtue of charity.
On the authority of ‘Abdullah Ibn Mas‘ud, may Allah be pleased with him.
From the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said:
"Every loan is an act of charity."
Recorded by al-Tabarani.
And classified as hasan (sound) by al-Albani.
In another narration, he said:
"Whoever lends a Muslim a dirham twice,
it is for him as if he had given it in charity once."
Al-Shawkani, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
"This is evidence that lending something twice
is equivalent to giving it as charity once."
