00:00:00.590 --> 00:00:05.030
The Garden of Guidance.

00:00:05.030 --> 00:00:08.160
Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said:

00:00:08.160 --> 00:00:24.160
“Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy;” (23:109)

00:00:24.160 --> 00:00:37.990
“But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them.” (23:110)

00:00:37.990 --> 00:00:49.750
“Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant.” (23:111)

00:00:49.750 --> 00:00:52.750
And on the authority of Mu'adh Ibn Anas (may Allah be pleased with him),

00:00:52.750 --> 00:00:56.939
the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

00:00:56.939 --> 00:01:01.939
"Whoever restrains their anger while being fully capable of acting upon it,

00:01:01.939 --> 00:01:07.939
Allah, Glorified and Exalted be He, will summon them before all of creation on the Day of Resurrection,

00:01:07.939 --> 00:01:11.939
letting them choose whichever of the wide-eyed maidens of Paradise they desire."

00:01:11.939 --> 00:01:15.170
Related by Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi.

00:01:15.170 --> 00:01:18.480
A point of benefit:

00:01:18.480 --> 00:01:21.510
Yahya Ibn Mu'adh (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

00:01:21.510 --> 00:01:25.510
"Paradise is surrounded by hardships, yet you detest them,

00:01:25.510 --> 00:01:30.510
while the Fire is surrounded by desires, and you pursue them.

00:01:30.510 --> 00:01:34.510
You are truly like a gravely ill patient:

00:01:34.510 --> 00:01:37.510
if he compels himself to endure the bitterness of medicine,

00:01:37.510 --> 00:01:40.510
he attains well-being through his patience;

00:01:40.510 --> 00:01:43.510
but if his soul despairs over what it must endure,

00:01:43.510 --> 00:01:46.510
his debilitating illness will only be prolonged."
