Often, the concealment of the truth is coupled with obscuring it with falsehood.
Or, one of them necessitates the other.
For the scholar who has been led astray,
if he finds people to be ignorant, he conceals the truth from them.
And if he finds that they possess some knowledge of the truth,
he obscures it for them and mixes it with falsehood,
in order to divert them from the pure truth.
