Stop and learn about the companions, scholars and notables A new challenge from me I am one of the scholarly companions from the Dus tribe I grew up as an orphan and immigrated poor I was a hired shepherd in exchange for daily food I knew a cat that I used to hold, care for, and play with So I started calling her and my nickname took precedence over my name I converted to Islam at the hands of the great companion Tufayl bin Omar, may God be pleased with him During the period between the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and the conquest of Khaybar The city brought Muhajir and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to Khaybar I used to invite my mother to Islam, but she refused So I called her one day and she became angry with me and told me something I disliked about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace So I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, crying So I said, O Messenger of God, I was inviting my mother to Islam, but she refused to do so So I called her today and she got angry with me and told me something I hated about you So I pray to God to guide her to Islam The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, smiled and prayed for her So I went out from him rejoicing, and when I came home, I found the door closed My mother heard the sound of my feet and said, “Where are you, son?” And I heard the rushing of the water So my mother washed and put on her armor, then opened the door and said, “I bear witness that there is no god but God.” I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger I could not feel the joy, so I returned to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, crying with joy I also came to him a short while ago, crying from sadness So I said, O Messenger of God, give good news. God has answered your prayer and guided my mother to Islam He thanked God, praised him, and said good So I said, O Messenger of God, I pray to God to love me and my mother to His faithful servants And he loves them to us The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said Oh God, make this servant of Yours and his mother beloved to Your faithful servants And he loved them both There is no believer who hears about me or sees me but loves me, for who I am
