I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have been calling my mother to Islam, but she refuses my call.

Today, I invited her again, but she grew angry with me and spoke words about you that I hated to hear.

Pray to Allah that He guide her to Islam."

I left his presence overjoyed. But when I reached home, I found the door closed.

My mother heard the sound of my footsteps and said, "Stay where you are, my son!" I then heard the splashing of water.

My mother washed herself, put on her garment, opened the door, and said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger."

I was overcome with immense joy, so I returned to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), weeping out of happiness,

I said, "O Messenger of Allah, rejoice! Allah has answered your prayer and guided my mother to Islam."

Then I said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me and my mother beloved to His believing servants,

and make the believers beloved to them."

Thus, there is no believer who hears of me or sees me except that he loves me. So, who am I?
