Yet she hoped that the message

for she knew from experience her society's habit

of spreading news and divulging

secrets, so she was confident

that those present in this gathering

would relay the news to

Yusuf, peace be upon him,

concerning what she had said and declared

and confessed against herself,

hoping that he might forgive her

as well as the plots she had devised

plots for evil ends

would inevitably backfire on her,

sooner or later;

for Allah does not guide

the plot of the betrayers.

She had plotted against Yusuf

to lure him into immorality,

but Allah protected him from her,

to accuse him of the crime,

Then she plotted against him alongside the women

to compel him to yield to her desire,

yet Allah averted their plot

from him and shielded him.

Then she plotted against him by imprisoning him

to cover up her scandal

within her society,

but her affair—and that of the women

with her—was exposed before the king

and his court.

In light of such events,

a prudent person reflects upon the path

he is treading:

And this is what the wife of al-Aziz realized:

that if she were to lie in this

situation, Allah,

Mighty and Majestic, would expose her

and cause her plot to recoil upon her,

just as had happened to her

before.

So she resolved to speak the truth,

a stance like that of the women

who had cut their hands,

who tried to manipulate

their words to cover up

the affair of the wife of al-Aziz

and their own conduct

in supporting her and assisting

her in achieving her desire

of seducing Yusuf.

And Allah,

Glorified and Exalted, has shown us

many similar examples in our own time,

so that we might perhaps

Allah has exposed to us the plotting of those who

cloak themselves in the mantle of Islam

and the defense of the religion,

demonstrating through their actions

00:05:24.569 --> 00:05:26.569
and stances their deceit and hatred

00:05:26.569 --> 00:05:28.569
toward the faith.

00:05:28.569 --> 00:05:30.569
And Allah has disgraced those who played the role

of the city's women in supporting them,

00:05:32.569 --> 00:05:34.569
aiding them in evil,

00:05:34.569 --> 00:05:36.569
and opposing the innocent

00:05:36.569 --> 00:05:38.569
among the scholars, callers to the faith,

00:05:38.569 --> 00:05:40.889
and reformers.

Allah has exposed to us the machinations

of organizations that name themselves

00:05:44.889 --> 00:05:46.889
and claim to defend

00:05:46.889 --> 00:05:48.889
the interests of the Muslims

00:05:48.889 --> 00:05:50.889
and the sanctities of the religion,

00:05:50.889 --> 00:05:52.889
revealing that they are merely

00:05:52.889 --> 00:05:54.889
politicized entities

00:05:54.889 --> 00:05:56.889
working to polish the image of the corrupt

00:05:56.889 --> 00:05:58.889
in the land,

00:05:58.889 --> 00:06:00.889
while fighting the reformers

00:06:00.889 --> 00:06:03.180
and failing to defend the sanctities of the Muslims.

00:06:03.180 --> 00:06:05.180
Through these events, Allah has shown us

that which demonstrates the fulfillment

of this verse:

"And Allah does not guide

the plot of the betrayers."

And whatever the case may be,

no action is undertaken whereby

the spiteful seek to plot against Islam

00:06:19.180 --> 00:06:21.180
and its sacred rites,

except that Allah thwarts their efforts

and disgraces them before all the worlds.
