In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari Surat Al-Hajj In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful These are two opponents who disputed about their Lord For those who disbelieve, it will be cut off for them A stream of fire pours hot water over their heads It melts what is in their stomachs and skins They have iron muzzles Whenever they wanted to get out of grief They will be returned there and taste the torment of burning From the adversaries, all the infidels What types of infidels were they? And all believers And they disagreed about it Each team is hostile to the other And fighting him over his religion As for the disbeliever in God, they are among them For he cuts a shirt of copper from fire for him Boiling water is poured over their heads Then he penetrates the skull until he reaches his stomach So what was in his stomach drained until he reached my feet She is the son-in-law Then it is restored as it was They have iron muzzles They hit their heads with the safe If they want to get out of hell Until you return them to her Whenever these infidels want Coming out of the fire and returning to it And they are told Taste the torment of the burning fire God will admit those who believe And they who do good deeds will be gardens Gardens under which rivers flow They wear bracelets therein They wear bracelets therein Of gold and pearls Their clothes are silk As for those who believe in God and His Messenger So they obeyed them according to what God commanded them to do It is good for business God will admit them to the Gardens of Eden Rivers flow beneath it He adorns them with bracelets therein Made of gold and pearls And their clothing that follows their skin Silk clothes They were guided to good words They were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy And their Lord guided them in this world To the testimony that there is no god but Allah And their Lord guided them in this world To the path of the Praiseworthy Lord He is praised by his friends among his creation Those who disbelieve and are repelled For the sake of God And the Grand Mosque Which we made for the people Both the one who is in it and the one who is lost And whoever responds to it with atheism Through injustice, We made him taste a painful torment Those who denied the monotheism of God And they denied His Messenger They prevent people from the religion of God To enter into it And about the Grand Mosque Which God made for people All who believed in him He did not allocate some of them without others Moderate in his duties From glorifying the sanctity of the Grand Mosque And fulfill his rituals with it And he can stay in it wherever he wants The one who devotes himself to it and he who resides in it And the lost is the one who is drawn to by someone else And whoever enters the Sacred House unjustly So he disobeys God in it We will make him taste the painful punishment of God on the Day of Resurrection And when We made clear to Abraham the location of the House Do not associate anything with Me And cleanse my house And purify my house for the sectarians And those in charge He bowed and prostrated And remember, O Muhammad, how we started this house Where your people worship other than me When we set foot in the place of the Kaaba for our friend Abraham Do not associate anything with Me in your worship And purify my house of idol worship For the sects and worshipers who are standing in their prayers And kneeling and prostrating in their prayers around the House He called people to perform Hajj They come to you as men And against every oppressor, they come from every deep valley To see the benefits for them The name of God is mentioned on certain days For the livestock he provided them with So eat of it and feed the poor person Will they not put an end to their impurity and fulfill their vows? And let them surround the ancient house We also entrusted him with teaching and advising people O people, perform Hajj to the Sacred House of God People come to the house on foot And riding on mock camels These phenomena come from every way, place, and path To witness the benefits to them from work that pleases God and trade And so that the name of God may be mentioned for the gifts He has given them And the body they gave as a gift during the days of Tashreeq So eat of the livestock on which you mentioned the name of God, O people there And feed what you slaughter or slaughter the needy, who is afflicted by hunger and need And the poor who has nothing Then to perform their Hajj rituals Who shaved his hair and got a mustache Throwing the Jamarat and circumambulating the Kaaba And they will fulfill to God what they vowed of sacrifice, sacrifice, and other things And let them circumambulate the Sacred House of God And whoever venerates the sanctities of God, that is better for him in the sight of his Lord And livestock have been made lawful to you, except for what is recited to you So avoid abomination from idols and avoid false speech This is what he was commanded to do regarding fulfilling one’s devotion and fulfilling one’s vows And circumambulating the ancient house It is the obligatory duty upon you, O people, in your Hajj Whoever avoids what God has commanded, we will be rewarded with it when he is in ihram Out of respect for God’s limits, he fulfills them It is better for him with his Lord in the afterlife God has made it permissible for you, people, to eat livestock if you slaughter them Except what is recited to you in the Book of God That is dead body and blood And pork and what was dedicated to other than God And the suffocating and the stifling And the deteriorating and the downtrodden And what the seven ate and what was slaughtered on the monument This is all an abomination So beware of idol worship, for it is an abomination And beware of telling lies and slander against God As you say about the gods, we only worship them so that they may bring us closer to God And you say that angels are the daughters of God And something like that This is a lie, falsehood, and polytheism in God Devoted to God, not associating partners with Him And whoever associates anything with God, it is as if it has fallen from the sky. Then the birds snatch it or the wind blows it away. Or the wind blows it to a cool place. O people, avoid worshiping idols and saying polytheism Upright to God and faithful to His monotheism Not associating anything with Him other than Him For he is the one who associates anything other than Him with God The same applies to him being far from guidance and attaining the truth Like one who fell from the sky Then the birds snatched him and he perished Or the wind blew him away That and whoever honors the rituals of God, they are part of the piety of hearts. This is what I mentioned to you, people, and ordered you to do From avoiding abomination from idols And avoid false speech And glorifying God’s rituals It is approving the body and taking advantage of it From the fear of God in hearts You will have benefits therein for a specified period, then its place will be transferred to the Ancient House You will benefit from these rituals for an indefinite period None of these rituals were physical Its benefits are yours from the time you own it Until you made it obligatory as a gift And there were no places where he performed rituals for God The benefits of trade are for God in her eyes Then the place of rituals goes to the ancient house None of that was a gift or a physical thing By making him enter the sanctuary And if there is any ritual then circumambulating the Kaaba And for every nation We have appointed a ritual To mention the name of God for what He has provided for them Of livestock Your God is one God, so submit to Him And give good tidings to those who are hidden Every group has predecessors among you who believe in God, O people He made us slaughter and shed his blood To mention the name of God for the livestock He has provided them with So avoid abomination from idols and avoid false speech Your God is one God with no partner To Him, submit with obedience And give good news, O Muhammad, to those who submit to God By obedience, submitting to Him with servitude Who, when God is mentioned, their hearts become fearful And those who are patient with what befalls them And those who establish prayer and spend from what We have provided them And give good news, O Muhammad, to the hidden ones Those whose hearts humble themselves at the remembrance of God and submit themselves out of fear of Him And those who are patient despite the hardship that befalls them in God’s command And the one who performs the obligatory prayer And from the wealth We have provided them with, they spend in what is obligatory upon them In zakat and maintenance of children and those who are obligated to support them And for the sake of God And the body we have made for you is one of the rituals of God, in which there is good for you So mention the name of God on it If it becomes obligatory to eat from it, then feed the contented and the one who is free Thus We have made it subservient to you that you may be grateful Bone camels are huge bodies We have made it for you, O people, among the symbols of God’s cause What He commanded you to do in the rituals of your Hajj, if you imitate them, honor them, and make them proud Good for you in the body That goodness is the reward in the afterlife for slaughtering it and giving it in charity In this world, he rides if he needs to ride it So mention the name of God on the body when you move it in rows It is one of its legs that is lined up between its reasonable hands If it falls and falls southward to the ground after slaughtering, then it is permissible for you to eat it So feed the beggar, the one who is satisfied with what he has, and the one who is self-sufficient This is how We have made the body subservient to you, people To thank me for making it available to you God will not have their flesh nor their blood But he will gain piety from you Thus He has subjected it to you so that you may glorify God for having guided you And give good news to the doers of good Neither the flesh nor the blood of your body will reach God But your fear of Him will attain it if you fear Him in it So you wanted a destination And you did what He instructed you to do and commanded you to do in its affairs And you glorified His sanctity This is how the body is subjected to you So that you may glorify God for granting you success in his religion And give good news, O Muhammad, to those who obey God So they did well in their obedience to Him in this world and in Paradise in the afterlife
