I am the master of Aws, one of the Ansar, and I have great value and status in Islam
I accompanied the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and was his companion in every situation
I participated with him in the Battle of the Trench and was wounded in the arm
So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, set up a tent for me in the mosque in which I could receive treatment
He would pass by me there and come back to me, and he would ask about me every morning and evening
When the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, went out to meet the Jews of Banu Qurayda
Those who broke the covenant at the time of the Battle of the Trench were found to be cowards who did not dare to resist
God Almighty shook them and put terror in their hearts
They feared for themselves and fortified themselves in their homes
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, besieged them
Then they surrendered and agreed to submit to Muslim rule
Then men from my people came
They asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, to have mercy on them
Because they were loyal to us before Islam
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
Would you not be satisfied with a man from among you ruling over them?
They said yes
He said, "That is to your master."
He said, “My people, we are satisfied.”
So he sent to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
So I came to him, complaining about my injury in the trench
The first people to receive me were the men of my people
They surrounded me and said, “Be nice to your friends and be kind to them.”
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
You have judged them so that you may be kind to them
I remain silent and do not respond to them with anything
When they attacked me more, I said
It is time for me not to take the blame of a blamer for God's sake
When they heard that from me, they knew what I meant
So they returned mourning the people
When I reached the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
He said to those with him
Go to your master
He told me that these people are treacherous Jews
They have submitted to your ruling, so judge them
I said, “My ruling applies to them.”
The Jews said yes
I said, my ruling applies to Muslims
The Muslims said yes
So I said, “My ruling applies to her here.”
I pointed to the side of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
I lowered my face in reverence and respect for him
He, peace and blessings be upon him, said yes and Ali
I said, “I will judge them.”
That their men be killed and their descendants taken captive
Their money is divided among the Muslims
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me
I have judged them with God’s judgment from above the seven heavens
