Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty, the Wise.” (40:8) 00:05:48.980 --> 00:05:56.589 "And whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their descendants." 00:05:56.670 --> 00:05:59.100 O our companions, 00:05:59.100 --> 00:06:01.660 We visit one another in Paradise, 00:06:01.660 --> 00:06:04.060 We gather and we converse, 00:06:04.060 --> 00:06:08.379 And we recall the affairs of the world in which we once lived, 00:06:08.379 --> 00:06:12.379 And the gatherings we filled with the remembrance of Allah, 00:06:12.379 --> 00:06:15.579 Reclining therein upon thrones, 00:06:15.579 --> 00:06:19.339 Our faces and our hearts turned toward one another, 00:06:19.339 --> 00:06:23.100 Having been cleansed of all malice and envy, 00:06:23.100 --> 00:06:27.540 Brothers on thrones, facing one another. 00:06:27.540 --> 00:06:29.730 So, O people of Paradise, 00:06:29.730 --> 00:06:33.889 Do you remember when we were previously in the worldly abode, 00:06:33.889 --> 00:06:36.370 Compassionate toward our families, 00:06:36.370 --> 00:06:38.879 Fearful and apprehensive? 00:06:38.879 --> 00:06:41.759 We abandoned sins out of fear of Him, 00:06:41.759 --> 00:06:44.990 And we rectified our faults for that sake. 00:06:44.990 --> 00:06:49.149 So Allah bestowed upon us guidance and success, 00:06:49.149 --> 00:06:51.629 And protected us from the punishment of the scorching wind, 00:06:51.709 --> 00:06:54.220 The intense heat. 00:06:54.220 --> 00:06:59.420 "Indeed, we used to call upon Him before to protect us from the punishment of the scorching wind," 00:06:59.420 --> 00:07:02.399 And to bring us to the bliss. 00:07:02.399 --> 00:07:06.560 We never ceased drawing near to Him with various acts of worship, 00:07:06.560 --> 00:07:09.680 And calling upon Him at all times. 00:07:09.680 --> 00:07:12.800 “Lo! we used to pray unto Him of old. Lo! He is the Benign, the Merciful.” (52:28) 00:07:12.800 --> 00:07:16.800 From His kindness toward us and His mercy upon us, 00:07:16.800 --> 00:07:19.680 We attained His pleasure and Paradise, 00:07:19.680 --> 00:07:23.810 And He protected us from His wrath and the Fire. 00:07:23.810 --> 00:07:29.949 How beautiful is this conversation and these memories in Paradise! 00:07:29.949 --> 00:07:32.509 And there is an even more beautiful conversation. 00:07:32.509 --> 00:07:35.230 For when we visit the Prophets, 00:07:35.230 --> 00:07:41.180 And we visit our master and our beloved Muhammad (peace be upon him), 00:07:41.180 --> 00:07:45.180 We speak with them and with their Companions. 00:07:45.180 --> 00:07:49.579 We ask them, "How did you persevere in spreading this religion? 00:07:49.579 --> 00:07:52.540 How did you struggle and toil? 00:07:52.540 --> 00:07:55.579 How did you fight and were you killed? 00:07:55.579 --> 00:07:58.139 And how did you strive and endure hardship?" 00:07:58.139 --> 00:08:03.519 Until this religion reached us pure and pristine. 00:08:03.519 --> 00:08:05.959 We see Musa (peace be upon him), 00:08:05.959 --> 00:08:08.079 Who gave us counsel, 00:08:08.079 --> 00:08:10.879 So Allah lightened the prayers for us, 00:08:10.879 --> 00:08:16.189 From fifty to five prayers in the day and night. 00:08:16.189 --> 00:08:18.829 We see the Prophets of firm resolve: 00:08:18.910 --> 00:08:21.910 Nuh, Ibrahim, and 'Isa, 00:08:21.910 --> 00:08:26.319 And others of the Prophets (peace be upon them). 00:08:26.319 --> 00:08:28.319 We visit the People of the Cave, 00:08:28.319 --> 00:08:31.000 And we ask them about their cave. 00:08:31.000 --> 00:08:34.919 We ask Dhu al-Qarnayn about his great journeys, 00:08:34.919 --> 00:08:39.759 And his building of the great barrier against Ya'juj and Ma'juj. 00:08:39.759 --> 00:08:42.240 We see the Imams and the luminaries, 00:08:42.240 --> 00:08:44.909 And the noble Companions. 00:08:44.909 --> 00:08:48.870 We see the role models about whom we heard so much, 00:08:48.870 --> 00:08:52.620 And upon whose biographies we were raised. 00:08:52.620 --> 00:08:55.019 O people of Paradise! 00:08:55.019 --> 00:08:57.580 Here we shall see the angels. 00:08:57.580 --> 00:09:00.019 We see Jibril (peace be upon him), 00:09:00.019 --> 00:09:01.580 The Trustworthy Spirit of revelation, 00:09:01.580 --> 00:09:03.980 The beloved of the believers. 00:09:03.980 --> 00:09:06.139 We see the bearers of the Throne, 00:09:06.139 --> 00:09:10.779 And we see others of the angels of the Lord of the worlds, 00:09:10.779 --> 00:09:14.500 Who do not disobey Allah in what He commands them, 00:09:14.500 --> 00:09:17.539 And they do what they are commanded. 00:09:17.539 --> 00:09:20.299 The angels greet us, 00:09:20.299 --> 00:09:24.980 Entering upon us from every gate, saying: 00:09:24.980 --> 00:09:28.659 “(Saying): Peace be unto you because ye persevered. So bounteous is the wage of workers.” (39:74) 00:10:11.409 --> 00:10:14.120 The angels say to us: 00:10:14.120 --> 00:10:16.000 "Enter Paradise; 00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:19.379 Excellent is the reward of the workers." 00:10:19.379 --> 00:10:22.500 Here we shall hear the call of the caller, 00:10:22.500 --> 00:10:25.179 Calling out to us, saying: 00:10:25.179 --> 00:10:27.419 "O people of Paradise! 00:10:27.419 --> 00:10:32.279 It is for you to be healthy and never fall ill again. 00:10:32.279 --> 00:10:37.200 It is for you to live and never die again. 00:10:37.200 --> 00:10:42.240 It is for you to remain young and never grow old again. 00:10:42.240 --> 00:10:44.919 It is for you to be in bliss, 00:10:44.919 --> 00:10:48.710 And never be miserable again." 00:10:48.710 --> 00:10:51.350 Among our bliss in Paradise 00:10:51.350 --> 00:10:54.559 Is that we have a market therein, 00:10:54.559 --> 00:10:57.799 But it is not like the markets of the world. 00:10:57.799 --> 00:11:01.500 This market is completely different. 00:11:01.500 --> 00:11:05.419 We gather in this market every Friday, 00:11:05.419 --> 00:11:10.220 We praise Allah for what He has bestowed upon us in Paradise, 00:11:10.220 --> 00:11:15.710 And we recall the everlasting bliss we are in. 00:11:15.710 --> 00:11:18.950 Then the north wind blows upon us, 00:11:18.950 --> 00:11:21.470 Which is the exciting wind, 00:11:21.470 --> 00:11:26.710 Because it stirs and scatters upon our faces the dust of Paradise, 00:11:26.710 --> 00:11:30.350 Of musk, saffron, and other things, 00:11:30.350 --> 00:11:33.470 So we increase in beauty and splendor. 00:11:33.470 --> 00:11:35.750 We return to our families, 00:11:35.750 --> 00:11:37.750 And they say to us: 00:11:37.750 --> 00:11:42.620 "By Allah, you have increased in beauty and splendor after us!" 00:11:42.620 --> 00:11:44.500 And we say to them: 00:11:44.500 --> 00:11:50.669 "And you, by Allah, have increased in beauty and splendor after us!" 00:11:50.669 --> 00:11:54.629 Then the Almighty says, "Rise to 00:11:54.629 --> 00:11:58.860 What I have stored for you of benevolence." 00:11:58.860 --> 00:12:02.779 They come to a market where there is no buying or selling, 00:12:02.779 --> 00:12:07.039 But one takes from it without price. 00:12:07.039 --> 00:12:14.539 The merchants of the soul had already paid the price of the goods with their pledge in the Pledge of Ridwan. 00:12:14.580 --> 00:12:22.370 For Allah has a market established by the noble angels with every benevolence. 00:12:22.370 --> 00:12:25.929 In it is that which, by Allah, no eye has seen, 00:12:25.929 --> 00:12:30.100 Nor has any ear heard, 00:12:30.100 --> 00:12:33.539 Nor has it crossed the heart of any human, 00:12:33.539 --> 00:12:37.889 To be expressed by a tongue. 00:12:37.889 --> 00:12:41.730 And the people of that market, whoever enters it, 00:12:41.730 --> 00:12:45.879 Shall attain all manner of congratulations in security. 00:12:45.879 --> 00:12:53.799 It is called the Market of Acquaintance, free from clamor, deception, or false oaths. 00:12:53.799 --> 00:12:57.600 O you who have exchanged it for a market 00:12:57.600 --> 00:13:01.779 Where the banner of Satan has been planted! 00:13:01.779 --> 00:13:10.490 If you knew the true worth of that market, you would not have inclined toward the stagnant, fleeting market. 00:13:10.529 --> 00:13:14.289 And when they return to their families, 00:13:14.289 --> 00:13:18.370 Bearing the gifts they have received from the Most Merciful, 00:13:18.370 --> 00:13:22.330 Their families will say to them, "Welcome! What is this 00:13:22.330 --> 00:13:26.559 Beauty you have brought back, which we did not see before?" 00:13:26.559 --> 00:13:34.700 "By Allah, you have increased in beauty beyond what you possessed before this moment." 00:13:34.700 --> 00:13:38.659 They will reply, "And you, by the One who created you, 00:13:38.659 --> 00:13:43.559 You have also increased in goodness upon goodness." 00:13:43.559 --> 00:13:47.840 O Allah, we ask You for Paradise and its delights, 00:13:47.840 --> 00:13:51.519 And we ask You for the highest level of Paradise, the Firdaws, 00:13:51.519 --> 00:13:55.059 Without reckoning or punishment. 00:13:55.059 --> 00:13:58.059 O Allah, answer our prayer. 00:13:58.059 --> 00:14:01.100 And this journey has a continuation. 00:14:01.100 --> 00:14:07.970 It is Paradise.
