In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari Surat Al-Dukhan In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Hamim And the clear book We sent it down on a blessed night Indeed, we were warned Hamim And the clear book He swore by this book that he sent it down on a blessed night It is the Night of Destiny Indeed, we were warned. We were created with this book as our punishment In it every wise matter is distinguished An order from us We were messengers Mercy from your Lord He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing On this blessed night He decides and details every matter that God Almighty has decreed in that year The same as the other year On this blessed night, every wise matter will be judged An order from us We were sending our Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, to our servants Mercy from your Lord, O Muhammad God is the Hearer of what these polytheists say He knows what their consciences contain And other matters about themselves and others Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them If you are sure There is no god but Him who gives life and causes death Your Lord and the Lord of your first fathers Who sent down this book, O Muhammad, upon you Owner of the seven heavens, the earth, and everything between them If you are certain of the truth of what I told you So be certain of Him just as you are certain of the truths of things other than Him There is no god for you, O people, other than the Lord of the heavens and the earth It is He who gives life to what He wills and causes death to what He wills What is your property and what is the property of those who came before you from among your forefathers So worship him rather than your gods Rather, they are doubtful playing They are not certain of the truth of what they say and tell of this news But they doubt it They are amused by their doubts about what they are telling them So wait for the day when the sky will bring forth clear smoke People tell us this is a painful punishment O Lord, remove the torment from us. We are believers So wait, O Muhammad, with these polytheists On the Day when the sky will bring to them something like smoke that will become clear to anyone who looks at it that it is smoke That was when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed against the Quraysh That God would give them years like the years of Joseph Their vision becomes blurred from the stress that befalls them They say this is painful torture They say that if you reveal it, we will believe in you We worshiped You without any deity other than You I am theirs of remembrance, and a clear messenger has come to them Then they turned away from him and said, “A crazy teacher.” In what way do these polytheists have to remember after the affliction befalls them? They turned away from Our Messenger when he came to them, turning away from him They do not remember or learn They say that he is crazy to know this We will reveal the torment for a little while. You will return We are the detector of the harm befalling them O polytheists, when I reveal to you what harm is upon you You have not fulfilled the faith that you promised and pledged to your Lord But you return to your error and error The day we unleash the greatest assault, we will be vengeful You are polytheists If I uncover the torment from you and then you return to your disbelief I took revenge on you The day I will strike you with my greatest brutality in the world So I will destroy you God revealed them and they returned He brutalized them with the greatest brutality in this world He killed them with the sword on the day of Badr Conclusion from Tafsir al-Tabrine
