In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The pulpit's discourse. Homes that the angels do not enter. A sermon by the honorable Sheikh, Khalid Ibn ‘Abdullah al-Hammudi, May Allah preserve him. Praise be to Allah, whose light illuminates the horizons, Who has blessed the believers with noble character, And whose mercy is manifested unto them When their souls reach their collarbones. We praise Him and seek His aid Through hardships and difficulties, And we seek refuge in the light of His noble countenance From doubt, polytheism, and discord. We ask Him for safety From hypocrisy and poor character. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, With no partner unto Him, “All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah; unto Him belongeth Sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise, and He is Able to do all things.” (64:1) And He is capable of all things. Allah relieves distress, Removes anguish, And promises the patient victory and relief. So be patient, O servant of Allah, In this life, and persevere. How many a hardship has brought tears to eyes, Yet the Generous One eased it for us, and it passed. How many a need seemed like a mirage, Yet Allah willed its attainment, and it arrived. How often have we tasted bitterness from circumstances, Yet despite the harshness of the days, they softened. This is the world, and we have affairs within it; If you adorn it with patience, it becomes beautiful. I bear witness that our master, our prophet, And our beloved, Muhammad, is the servant of Allah and His messenger, His chosen one and His intimate friend, The possessor of the promised Basin, The raised banner, And the praised station. All of life smiled at his hadith, And through his guidance, the rain of benevolence poured down. May the peace of Allah be upon you, O you whose mention Is a fragrance that the breeze spreads when it travels. O Allah, send peace, blessings, and increase upon Your servant, messenger, prophet, and beloved, Muhammad, And upon his family and his Companions, And whoever is guided by his guidance, Follows his Sunnah, and treads his path, And grant him abundant peace until the Day of Judgment. To proceed, O servants of Allah: I advise you and myself to fear Allah. O you who have believed, fear Allah, And speak a word that is right. He will amend for you your deeds And forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His messenger, “He will adjust your works for you and will forgive you your sins. Whosoever obeyeth Allah and His messenger, he verily hath gained a signal victory.” (33:71) O noble ones, We spoke last Friday About homes that the angels do not enter. And how a house, If deprived of the entry of angels, May cause its inhabitants misery, As it becomes an open door for the devils. We mentioned three homes that the angels do not enter, And by angels, we mean the angels of mercy, Blessing, and seeking forgiveness. Otherwise, there are angels Who never depart from the children of Adam, Namely the noble recording angels, And the Angel of Death When the hour arrives. We ask Allah to grant us and you a good ending. We said the first house That the angels do not enter Is the house of the one who severs ties of kinship, Then the one who is undutiful to his parents, Then the house that contains a dog, may Allah honor you. Today, we continue the discussion on homes that the angels do not enter. Among the homes that the angels do not enter Is the house of the one who consumes the wealth of the orphan, And the one who consumes people's wealth unjustly and aggressively. Indeed, the angels of mercy, O servants of Allah, Are furthest from the man Who transgresses against the wealth of orphans, The poor, and the needy, Consuming it at their expense. Allah, the Almighty, has threatened Those who consume the wealth of people And orphans unjustly. He has threatened them with two punishments, Each more severe than the other. The first is that they will enter the Fire, And what an evil destination. The Almighty said: "Indeed, those who consume the wealth of orphans unjustly..." “Lo! Those who devour the wealth of orphans wrongfully, they do but swallow fire into their bellies, and they will be exposed to burning flame.” (4:10) "...will burn in a blazing Fire." The second, as some scholars say, Is that consuming the wealth of the orphan Is a cause for an evil ending, we seek refuge in Allah. Allah, the Exalted, has warned— Allah, the Almighty, has warned Regarding the confirmed right of orphans and the poor, And the need for greater care for them, By His saying: "And let those fear [injustice] who, if they had left behind them..." "...weak offspring..." "...would be afraid for them." So let them fear Allah, And let them speak a word that is right. The Prophet, peace be upon him, warned Against consuming the wealth of orphans, And considered it one of the destructive sins. On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, That the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Avoid the seven destructive sins: Polytheism with Allah, Sorcery, Killing a soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right, Consuming usury, Consuming the wealth of the orphan, Fleeing from the battlefield, And slandering chaste, believing, innocent women." So let him fear Allah, Let him fear Allah, the one who dares to consume the wealth of an orphan. For this is forbidden, And every body nourished by the forbidden, The Fire is more worthy of it. O you whom Allah, the Almighty, has entrusted With the rights of others, Fear Allah regarding them. For today is action without reckoning, And tomorrow is reckoning without action. Among the homes that the angels do not enter Is a house that contains foul odors. It has been reported in more than one hadith That the angels Are offended by what offends the children of Adam. And in one narration: "They are offended by what offends humans." So every foul odor Repels the angels And keeps them away. So be careful, O servant of Allah, That your house be clean and pleasant. Likewise, Your own scent must be pleasant So that the angels may accompany you. The Prophet, peace be upon him, advised us To use perfume, Encouraged us to do so, And urged us toward it. He, peace be upon him, said: "Perfume and women have been made beloved to me from your world." And the Prophet, peace be upon him, Whoever saw him Would think he was a perfume seller Because of the abundance of perfume he used. Servants of Allah, Many people Do not care about this matter, So you find the scent of some houses Is not pleasant. And among the most common odors With which Muslims pollute their homes Is the smell of smoke. If the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, Forbade us From approaching garlic and onions Except after cooking them, Because they have a foul odor By which the angels are offended, Then the smell of smoke Is more offensive than the smell of garlic and onions, Not to mention That eating garlic and onions Has no harm From a health perspective; Rather, it has many benefits, Unlike smoke, Which is entirely harmful. We ask Allah To grant health to everyone afflicted by that. Among the things that offend the angels Is the smell of stagnant urine. For urine, If left for a time in the house, Produces a foul, repulsive odor. The Prophet, peace be upon him, forbade That, And then provided the reason, saying: "Indeed, the angels Do not enter a house In which there is stagnant urine." Narrated by al-Tabarani, And authenticated by al-Albani. That one should urinate in a vessel And leave it for a long time, For that is a cause for a foul odor, And the angels You are harmed by that. For that was something which existed within the homes. Indeed, we It is urinated in. Because public baths They were not present in the homes. Or in the bedrooms. Such is our situation today. Rather, it was taking place outside. The evidence for this is as follows: Avoiding the retention of urine for an extended period. So that it does not leave behind an unpleasant odor. It becomes a cause. Regarding the angels not entering. The house Islam is a religion of purity. And the religion is one of cleanliness. Rather, it is in that. And more comprehensive than that is Allah has praised in His Book upon those who purify themselves. Let us be diligent in maintaining the cleanliness of our homes. And our own selves. So that Allah may love us. He, glory be to Him, said: Indeed, Allah He loves those who constantly repent. And He loves those who purify themselves. May Allah bless me and you through the Magnificent Qur'an. May Allah grant me and you benefit from it. containing within it the verses and the Wise Reminder. I say this, and I ask Allah to forgive what you have heard. I seek forgiveness from Allah for myself and for you, so seek His forgiveness. Indeed, He is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah. And I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. And I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. To proceed: Servants of Allah In the religion of Islam, homes possess a sacred sanctity. And there is much of The etiquette prescribed by the Shari'ah which is incumbent upon us Knowing it in relation to our own stations. Perhaps what we have mentioned A portion of it. So fear Allah, O servants of Allah. For the departure of the angels For the homes of the Muslims It is considered a source of misery for his family. And keeping the company of the angels. For the human being. For the sake of the blessings of Allah And may the mercy of Allah be upon His servants. And among the mercies of Allah Exalted is He in His loftiness. for His servants that He appointed the bearers of the Throne And those around them They seek forgiveness for the believers. Those who repent. Listen, O servant of Allah. Listen, may Allah protect you, and reflect. Allah, glorified be He, says: Those who bear the Throne And those around him They glorify their Lord with His praise. And they believe in him. And they seek forgiveness for those who have believed. And they seek forgiveness for those who have believed. Our Lord. [He] encompasses all things. [He was] a source of mercy and knowledge. So forgive those who have repented. And they followed your path. And protect them from the punishment of the Hellfire. Our Lord. And He shall admit them into the Gardens of Eden. which He promised them And whoever is righteous from their fathers And their spouses. And their descendants. Indeed, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. Reflect upon this, may Allah protect you. How does one keep the company of the angels? And how did Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, subjugate them? For the sake of supplication. for the believers We ask Allah, the Almighty and Majestic. May He make us among those who listen. The statement is then followed. The best of it. O Allah, forgive all of our sins. O Allah, forgive all of our sins. Its subtle and its manifest aspects. Its beginning and its end. Both its jest and its seriousness. What we have learned from him. And that which we do not know Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, forgive the sins that You have veiled. And erase the sins of what people have come to know of them. And he taught it to her. O Allah, You know our faults. So conceal it. And You know our deeds, so accept them. Our needs are many, so fulfill them, O Fulfiller of all needs. O Allah, forgive us. May Allah forgive all of our sins. O Allah, adorn us with Your beautiful covering. And place it beneath the veil. a righteous deed that You are pleased with. O Allah, cover us while we are upon the earth. And conceal us beneath the earth. And conceal our faults on the Day of Presentation. O Allah, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor. O Allah, O Hearer of supplications. Just as He has brought us together upon these carpets. Gather us beneath Your Throne. Brothers who love one another for the sake of Allah. Upon thrones, facing one another. O Allah, we ask You Your pleasure and Paradise. And we seek refuge in You from Your displeasure and from the Fire. O Allah, grant us security in our homelands. And rectify our leaders. And those in authority over us. And grant victory to our soldiers stationed at the borders. And grant victory to our oppressed brothers. In every place. O Allah, we have called upon You in our distress, just as You have commanded us. So answer us, just as You have promised us. “Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him)” (37:180) of what they describe And praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
