The first migration to Al-Hamsha
When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw the calamity befalling his companions
And what a wellness it is
His position in God and in his uncle Abu Talib
And he is not able to prevent them from the affliction they are in
He told them
If you go out to the land of Abyssinia
It has a king who does not oppress anyone
It is a land of truth
Until God gives you relief from what you are in
Then the Muslims from the companions of the Messenger of God went out to the land of Abyssinia
Fear of sedition
Fleeing to God with their religion
It was the first migration that occurred in Islam
One of the reasons for the command of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was his companions, may God be pleased with them
By migrating to Abyssinia
The Almighty's saying was revealed to him
O My servants who have believed, my land is vast, so worship Me
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said
This is a command from God to His faithful servants
By emigrating from the country where they are unable to establish religion
To God's vast earth
Where he can establish his religion
To unite God and worship Him as He commanded them
Therefore, when it became difficult for the oppressed in Mecca to stay there
They migrated to the land of Abyssinia
To be secure in their religion there
They found there the better of the two houses
Ashama Al-Najashi
King of Abyssinia, may God have mercy on him
He sheltered them and supported them with his victory
And he made them honorable people in his country
Sheikh Ali Al-Tantawi said
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called them to something more severe than all of this
To leave the homeland and leave the family
And to flee with their religion to countries that are not from them and which are not from them
Nor is her tongue their tongue
Nor is her religion their religion
To Abyssinia
They left their homes and abandoned their families
And they walked to Abyssinia
Then the Quraysh followed them to Abyssinia
The Quraysh deepened their disbelief, opposition, and stubbornness
But can the Quraysh extinguish the light of God Almighty?
Number of immigrants to Abyssinia
Then a group of companions, may God be pleased with them, left
Secretly infiltrating the land of Abyssinia
Fearing temptation and fleeing to God with their religion
It is the first migration that occurred in Islam
This occurred in Rajab of the fifth year of the mission
They were eleven men and four women
Their prince was Othman bin Madoun, may God be pleased with him
The Muslims resided in Abyssinia in a good home
With a good neighbor
The rest of Rajab and Shaban until Ramadan
Then they returned to Mecca, as will follow
