And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end,” (38:55) 00:01:14.819 --> 00:01:18.819 Hell, where they shall burn. 00:01:18.819 --> 00:01:20.819 What a wretched resting place. 00:01:20.819 --> 00:01:27.819 “Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it,” (38:57) 00:01:27.819 --> 00:01:32.819 “And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)!” (38:58) 00:01:33.819 --> 00:01:38.620 This is what has been described for these righteous ones. 00:01:38.620 --> 00:01:42.620 Then He resumes the account regarding the disbelievers who transgressed against Him. 00:01:42.620 --> 00:01:47.620 Indeed, they have the worst place of return and destination to which they will arrive on the Day of Resurrection. 00:01:47.620 --> 00:01:52.620 How wretched is the bed they have spread for themselves: Hell. 00:01:52.620 --> 00:01:54.620 They shall be given boiling water to drink. 00:01:54.620 --> 00:01:57.620 And what flows from their festering wounds. 00:01:57.620 --> 00:02:01.620 And other torments of the same nature as the boiling water, of various kinds and types. 00:02:01.620 --> 00:02:04.620 It is possible that what is meant by "pairs" [in the verse] 00:02:04.620 --> 00:02:07.620 Is the account of the boiling water and the scalding filth. 00:02:07.620 --> 00:02:09.620 And others of its kind. 00:02:09.620 --> 00:02:13.620 That is three, so they are called "pairs." 00:02:13.620 --> 00:02:21.259 “Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire.” (38:59) 00:02:21.259 --> 00:02:26.259 They are those who enter the Fire. 00:02:27.259 --> 00:02:34.020 This is a faction and a group bursting in with you, O transgressors, into the Fire. 00:02:34.020 --> 00:02:39.020 This refers to the entry of one disbelieving nation after another. 00:02:39.020 --> 00:02:45.020 The transgressors who had entered the Fire before this bursting group will say, 00:02:45.020 --> 00:02:48.020 "May their entry be constricted." 00:02:48.020 --> 00:02:51.699 They are those who arrive at the Fire and enter it. 00:02:51.699 --> 00:02:56.699 “They say: Nay, but you (misleaders), for you there is no word of welcome. Ye prepared this for us (by your misleading). Now hapless is the plight.” (38:60) 00:02:56.699 --> 00:03:00.699 You brought it forward for us. 00:03:00.699 --> 00:03:04.530 What a wretched place to settle. 00:03:04.530 --> 00:03:06.530 The arriving group will say, 00:03:06.530 --> 00:03:11.530 "Rather, it is you, O people, whose places are constricted." 00:03:11.530 --> 00:03:14.530 You provided this place as a dwelling for us. 00:03:14.530 --> 00:03:19.530 By leading us astray and calling us to disbelieve in Allah. 00:03:19.530 --> 00:03:24.099 What a wretched place to reside in: Hell. 00:03:24.099 --> 00:03:36.099 “They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire!” (38:61) 00:03:36.099 --> 00:03:41.740 The followers will say—and this is also the statement of the group that burst in— 00:03:41.740 --> 00:03:45.740 "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us," meaning, 00:03:45.740 --> 00:03:52.740 Whoever prepared this for them in the world by calling them to the deeds that necessitated the Fire they have now entered, 00:03:52.740 --> 00:03:56.740 "Increase his punishment twofold over the punishment he is already in." 00:03:56.740 --> 00:04:06.580 “And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked?” (38:62) 00:04:06.580 --> 00:04:12.580 “Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them?” (38:63) 00:04:12.580 --> 00:04:19.579 “Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire.” (38:64) 00:04:19.579 --> 00:04:22.410 The transgressors will say, 00:04:22.410 --> 00:04:26.410 "What is the matter with us that we do not see men with us in the Fire 00:04:26.410 --> 00:04:29.410 Whom we used to count in the world among the wicked?" 00:04:29.410 --> 00:04:32.410 By this, they meant, as it has been mentioned, 00:04:32.410 --> 00:04:36.410 Suhayb, Khabbab, Bilal, and Salman. 00:04:36.410 --> 00:04:40.540 "We used to take them for mockery, ridiculing them." 00:04:40.540 --> 00:04:42.540 "Yet they are with us today in the Fire?" 00:04:42.540 --> 00:04:46.540 "Have our eyes missed them, such that we do not know where they are?" 00:04:46.540 --> 00:04:50.790 This which I have told you regarding the mutual recriminations of the people of the Fire, 00:04:50.790 --> 00:04:55.790 And their cursing of one another, and the disputing of the people of the Fire, 00:04:55.790 --> 00:04:59.790 Is the absolute truth, so do not doubt it. 00:04:59.790 --> 00:05:04.620 “Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute,” (38:65) 00:05:04.620 --> 00:05:09.620 “Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute,” (38:65) 00:05:09.620 --> 00:05:16.620 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning.” (38:66) 00:05:16.620 --> 00:05:20.199 Say, O Muhammad, to the polytheists of your people, 00:05:20.199 --> 00:05:24.199 “Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I exhort you unto one thing only: that ye awake, for Allah's sake, by twos and singly, and then reflect: There is no madness in your comrade. He is naught else than a warner unto you in face of a terrific doom.” (34:46) 00:05:24.199 --> 00:05:29.199 There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the One, 00:05:29.199 --> 00:05:34.199 Who should have no partner in His dominion, 00:05:34.199 --> 00:05:37.230 The Subduer of all that is beneath Him by His power, 00:05:37.230 --> 00:05:42.230 The Owner of the heavens and the earth and all the creation between them. 00:05:42.230 --> 00:05:45.230 He is the God, besides whom there is no god, 00:05:45.230 --> 00:05:49.230 The Almighty in His retribution against those who disbelieve in Him, 00:05:49.230 --> 00:05:52.230 The Perpetual Forgiver of the sins of those who repent among them. 00:05:52.230 --> 00:05:55.810 “Say: It is tremendous tidings” (38:67) 00:05:55.810 --> 00:05:59.810 You are turning away from Him. 00:05:59.810 --> 00:06:06.810 “I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed;” (38:69) 00:06:06.810 --> 00:06:14.810 “It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner.” (38:70) 00:06:14.810 --> 00:06:20.610 Say, O Muhammad, this Qur'an is a great message. 00:06:20.610 --> 00:06:24.610 You are turning away from it, not acting upon it. 00:06:24.610 --> 00:06:29.800 Say, O Muhammad, I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly 00:06:29.800 --> 00:06:32.800 When they were disputing regarding the affair of Adam, 00:06:32.800 --> 00:06:34.800 Before my Lord revealed it to me, 00:06:34.800 --> 00:06:36.800 So that He might teach me. 00:06:36.800 --> 00:06:38.800 In my informing you of that, 00:06:38.800 --> 00:06:43.800 There is clear evidence that this Qur'an is a revelation from Allah. 00:06:43.800 --> 00:06:49.860 Say, O Muhammad, Allah does not reveal to me knowledge of that which I have no knowledge, 00:06:49.860 --> 00:06:52.860 Such as the knowledge of the Exalted Assembly 00:06:52.860 --> 00:06:56.860 And their dispute regarding the matter of Adam when He intended to create him, 00:06:56.860 --> 00:07:00.860 Except that I am only a clear warner. 00:07:00.860 --> 00:07:13.600 “When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire,” (38:71) 00:07:13.600 --> 00:07:21.600 "So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down to him in prostration." 00:07:21.600 --> 00:07:27.600 So the angels prostrated, all of them together. 00:07:27.600 --> 00:07:33.600 “Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers.” (38:74) 00:07:33.600 --> 00:07:38.399 When your Lord said, O Muhammad, to the angels, 00:07:38.399 --> 00:07:41.399 “When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire,” (38:71) 00:07:41.399 --> 00:07:45.399 "When I have completed his creation and breathed into him of My spirit, 00:07:45.399 --> 00:07:48.399 Then fall down to him in prostration." 00:07:48.399 --> 00:07:55.399 So the angels prostrated, all of them together, those who are in the heavens and the earth, except Iblis. 00:07:55.399 --> 00:07:59.399 He grew arrogant regarding prostrating to him, out of pride and haughtiness. 00:07:59.399 --> 00:08:05.399 And by his arrogance toward his Lord, he was among those who disbelieved in the prior knowledge of Allah. 00:08:05.399 --> 00:08:12.399 He denied His Lordship and rejected the submission to Him that was required of him through obedience. 00:08:12.399 --> 00:08:19.910 “He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted?” (38:75) 00:08:19.910 --> 00:08:24.910 “He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted?” (38:75) 00:08:24.910 --> 00:08:34.909 He said, "I am better than him; You created me from fire and created him from clay." 00:08:34.909 --> 00:08:39.580 Allah said to Iblis, "O Iblis, 00:08:39.580 --> 00:08:43.580 What prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? 00:08:43.580 --> 00:08:46.580 Have you grown too arrogant to prostrate to Adam? 00:08:46.580 --> 00:08:49.580 So you abandoned prostrating to him out of arrogance?" 00:08:49.580 --> 00:08:54.580 "Or were you already among those who are lofty and arrogant toward your Lord?" 00:08:54.580 --> 00:08:57.580 Iblis said to his Lord, 00:08:57.580 --> 00:09:01.580 "I did that, and I did not prostrate because I am better than him, 00:09:01.580 --> 00:09:05.580 Because You created me from fire and created him from clay, 00:09:05.580 --> 00:09:08.580 And fire consumes clay and burns it, 00:09:08.580 --> 00:09:10.580 So fire is better than him. 00:09:10.580 --> 00:09:13.580 I did not do that out of arrogance toward You, 00:09:13.580 --> 00:09:16.580 Nor because I was among the lofty ones, 00:09:16.580 --> 00:09:20.580 But I did it because I am more noble than him." 00:09:20.580 --> 00:09:27.190 He said, "Then get out of it, for you are expelled." 00:09:27.190 --> 00:09:32.190 “And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment.” (38:78) 00:09:32.190 --> 00:09:36.120 Allah said to Iblis, 00:09:36.120 --> 00:09:38.120 "So get out of Paradise, 00:09:38.120 --> 00:09:41.120 For you are cast out, reviled, and cursed. 00:09:41.120 --> 00:09:47.120 And My curse shall be upon you from Paradise until the Day of Recompense and Reckoning for the servants." 00:09:47.120 --> 00:09:53.730 He said, "My Lord, then respite me until the Day they are resurrected." 00:09:53.730 --> 00:09:58.730 He said, "Indeed, you are of those respited, 00:09:58.730 --> 00:10:02.730 Until the day of the time well-known." 00:10:02.730 --> 00:10:06.399 Iblis said to his Lord, 00:10:06.399 --> 00:10:08.399 "My Lord, since You have cursed me, 00:10:08.399 --> 00:10:13.399 Then grant me a delay until the day You resurrect Your creation from their graves." 00:10:13.399 --> 00:10:15.399 Allah said to Iblis, 00:10:15.399 --> 00:10:20.399 "Indeed, you are of those whom I have respited until the day of the time well-known." 00:10:20.399 --> 00:10:27.200 “He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one,” (38:82) 00:10:27.200 --> 00:10:32.200 "Except Your servants among them who are sincere." 00:10:32.200 --> 00:10:34.679 Iblis said, 00:10:34.679 --> 00:10:36.679 "By Your might and Your power, 00:10:36.679 --> 00:10:39.679 I will surely mislead them all, 00:10:39.679 --> 00:10:42.679 Except those among them whom You have made sincere for Your worship, 00:10:42.679 --> 00:10:45.679 And protected from my misguidance." 00:10:45.679 --> 00:10:50.539 “He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak,” (38:84) 00:10:50.539 --> 00:11:00.539 "I will surely fill Hell with you and with those who follow you among them, all together." 00:11:00.539 --> 00:11:03.340 Allah the Exalted said, 00:11:03.340 --> 00:11:06.340 "I am the Truth, and I speak the Truth, 00:11:06.340 --> 00:11:13.340 And the Truth is that I will surely fill Hell with you and with those who follow you among the children of Adam, all together." 00:11:13.340 --> 00:11:21.110 “Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating.” (38:86) 00:11:21.110 --> 00:11:26.110 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 00:11:26.110 --> 00:11:33.110 “And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof.” (38:88) 00:11:33.110 --> 00:11:37.809 Say, O Muhammad, to the polytheists of your people, 00:11:37.809 --> 00:11:43.809 "I do not ask of you for the Qur'an which I have brought to you from Allah any reward or recompense, 00:11:43.809 --> 00:11:48.809 And I am not one who affects fabrication and falsehood." 00:11:48.809 --> 00:11:51.840 Say to these polytheists of your people, 00:11:51.840 --> 00:11:57.840 "This Qur'an is only a reminder from Allah to the worlds, both jinn and mankind." 00:11:57.840 --> 00:12:02.840 And you shall surely know, O you who associate partners with Allah, the truth of this Qur'an, 00:12:02.840 --> 00:12:07.840 And the reality of what it contains of promise and threat, after a while.
