Reasons for surviving temptations
Knowing the reasons for falling into the aforementioned temptations
The reasons for its prevention become clear to us
The most important of them
Firstly
Asking God Almighty to remain steadfast in the truth
And recovery from temptations, both apparent and hidden
As in the famous supplication
Oh God, I seek refuge in You from temptations, whether apparent or hidden
No one comes from temptation except with God’s help and success
And return it to his slave
It is achieved by God Almighty’s response to those who call upon Him and seek refuge in Him
God Almighty knows the sincerity of His servant in his requests and supplications
It is a sign of the sincerity of supplication and request
To take other measures to protect against temptation
Secondly
Removing the temptation of suspicions with forensic knowledge
And the correct understanding of God Almighty
And its rulings stem from the Book of God Almighty
And the Sunnah of his Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
Concerning this, Ibn al-Qayyim, may God Almighty have mercy on him, says
Correct understanding and good intent
One of the greatest blessings that God has bestowed upon His servant
Rather, nothing was given to Abdul Ata’ after Islam that was better or more timely than either of them
Rather, they are the basis of Islam and its establishment on them
Correct understanding is a light that God casts into the heart of the servant
It distinguishes between correct and incorrect
Truth and falsehood, guidance and error
And cancel and guidance
He is supported by good intentions, pursuit of truth, and fear of the Lord in secret and in public
Neither the mufti nor the ruler is able to issue fatwas and rule with truth
Except for two types of understanding
One of them is understanding reality and jurisprudence in it
The second type is understanding the duty in reality
It is an understanding of God’s ruling that He ruled in His Book
Or on the tongue of His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, in this reality
Then apply one to the other
Third, treating the temptation of desires with fear of God Almighty
And give preference to what he has in the afterlife
That is better and more lasting
And settle oneself on patience and piety
If you are patient and pious, then this is a matter of determination
Because this temptation may occur to those who have knowledge of God Almighty and His rulings
But it came to him out of passion and weakness of piety
It was not about his lack of knowledge of the truth
But from a lack of piety and patience
And preferring the world over the truth
Fourth
And because it is one of the reasons for falling into temptation
Hurry and haste
The cure for that was patience, gentleness, forbearance, and selfishness
Fifth
Istikhara of God Almighty
And consult someone whose knowledge, religion, and awareness of reality are trusted
Sixth
Taking care to unite the word and reject division and difference
Except for those who must be separated from among the people of disbelief and hypocrisy
And false innovations
Seventh
The necessity of piety and sitting with the righteous
And a lot of worship of fountains and sacrifices
And frequent remembrance of God Almighty
Eighth
Enjoining good and forbidding evil
And intensifying the call to God Almighty
Struggling against the infidels and hypocrites with tongue, money and teeth
And isolation when the fighting is between Muslims themselves
Ninth
Asceticism in this world and beware of its temptations
It is a temptation for everyone who is intrigued
Tenth
Retire from temptation and its people
And not to participate in it with tongue, pen or teeth
Isolation is neither praiseworthy nor reprehensible at all
But it varies from person to person
From one place and one situation to another
He looks at the evils and the dangers that result from them, and balances them between them
The basic principle is that mingling involves cooperation in righteousness and piety
She is commanded to do so
Even if it involves cooperation in sin and aggression
It is forbidden
Isolation is required then
