Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! And if ye disbelieve, lo! unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and Allah is ever Absolute, Owner of Praise.” (4:131) 00:03:07.960 --> 00:03:11.800 We ask Allah to make us among His righteous servants, 00:03:11.800 --> 00:03:13.639 And among His successful party. 00:03:13.639 --> 00:03:15.319 O Allah, answer our prayer. 00:03:15.319 --> 00:03:17.930 O community of believers, 00:03:17.969 --> 00:03:20.360 Life is full of trials, 00:03:20.360 --> 00:03:23.919 With its many burdens and tasks, 00:03:23.919 --> 00:03:26.400 And the competition within it, 00:03:26.400 --> 00:03:29.319 And the struggle for its desires, 00:03:29.319 --> 00:03:33.479 And the weakness of faith from time to time, 00:03:33.479 --> 00:03:37.000 And the absence of virtuous values in the souls. 00:03:37.000 --> 00:03:41.439 In some people, blameworthy morals appear, 00:03:41.439 --> 00:03:44.199 Along with erroneous behaviors, 00:03:44.199 --> 00:03:46.879 And evil deeds, 00:03:46.919 --> 00:03:51.099 Whose impact is dangerous upon the individual and society, 00:03:51.099 --> 00:03:55.259 And which become a cause for injustice and tyranny, 00:03:55.259 --> 00:03:58.379 And a manifestation of aggression. 00:03:58.379 --> 00:04:00.419 Among these morals is, 00:04:00.419 --> 00:04:02.740 Evil plotting. 00:04:02.740 --> 00:04:05.780 It is the intent to cause harm to others, 00:04:05.780 --> 00:04:09.060 Relying on power and authority, 00:04:09.060 --> 00:04:12.219 Or on intelligence, wealth, and status. 00:04:12.219 --> 00:04:13.860 It may be, 00:04:13.860 --> 00:04:16.500 That an individual displays goodness, 00:04:16.500 --> 00:04:18.220 While concealing evil, 00:04:18.220 --> 00:04:20.379 And weaving conspiracies, 00:04:20.379 --> 00:04:21.660 In secret, 00:04:21.660 --> 00:04:23.980 To obtain gains, 00:04:23.980 --> 00:04:26.300 And worldly ambitions, 00:04:26.300 --> 00:04:27.899 Without any right. 00:04:27.899 --> 00:04:30.100 As for the plotting of Allah, 00:04:30.100 --> 00:04:31.899 It means, 00:04:31.899 --> 00:04:35.699 That Allah establishes the truth and invalidates falsehood, 00:04:35.699 --> 00:04:38.620 And He leads the oppressors and the disobedient on gradually, 00:04:38.620 --> 00:04:40.300 And grants them respite, 00:04:40.300 --> 00:04:41.500 Then, 00:04:41.500 --> 00:04:44.220 He seizes them for their sins. 00:04:44.220 --> 00:04:46.339 The Noble Qur'an, 00:04:46.339 --> 00:04:48.579 Has warned against this character, 00:04:48.579 --> 00:04:51.100 And clarified the traits of those who possess it, 00:04:51.100 --> 00:04:54.699 And explained that the consequence of their plotting is evil, 00:04:54.699 --> 00:04:56.980 And their end is dire, 00:04:56.980 --> 00:04:58.980 In this world and the Hereafter. 00:04:58.980 --> 00:05:00.540 The Almighty said: 00:05:00.540 --> 00:05:03.660 “And when those who disbelieve plot against thee (O Muhammad) to wound thee fatally, or to kill thee or to drive thee forth; they plot, but Allah (also) plotteth; and Allah is the best of plotters.” (8:30) 00:05:03.660 --> 00:05:05.259 To restrain you, 00:05:05.259 --> 00:05:07.060 Or kill you, 00:05:07.060 --> 00:05:08.779 Or drive you out. 00:05:08.779 --> 00:05:11.620 They plot, and Allah plots; 00:05:11.620 --> 00:05:14.300 And Allah is the best of plotters. 00:05:14.300 --> 00:05:15.980 And the Exalted said: 00:05:15.980 --> 00:05:20.379 “And there were in the city nine persons who made mischief in the land and reformed not.” (27:48) 00:05:20.379 --> 00:05:22.060 And they do not set things right. 00:05:22.060 --> 00:05:23.180 They said, 00:05:23.180 --> 00:05:25.139 "Swear by Allah, 00:05:25.139 --> 00:05:27.620 That we will surely attack him and his family by night, 00:05:27.620 --> 00:05:30.459 Then we will say to his guardian, 00:05:30.459 --> 00:05:32.899 “They said: Swear one to another by Allah that we verily will attack him and his household by night, and afterward we will surely say unto his friend: We witnessed not the destruction of his household. And lo! we are truthtellers.” (27:49) 00:05:32.899 --> 00:05:35.220 And indeed, we are truthful." 00:05:35.220 --> 00:05:37.139 And they plotted a plot, 00:05:37.139 --> 00:05:38.980 And they plotted a plot, 00:05:38.980 --> 00:05:42.540 “So they plotted a plot: and We plotted a plot, while they perceived not.” (27:50) 00:05:42.540 --> 00:05:43.579 So look, 00:05:43.579 --> 00:05:46.220 “Then see the nature of the consequence of their plotting, for lo! Lo! herein is indeed a portent for a people who have knowledge.” (27:52) 00:05:54.300 --> 00:05:56.939 Indeed, in that is a sign, 00:05:56.939 --> 00:06:00.540 A sign for a people who know. 00:06:00.540 --> 00:06:03.620 And evil plotting, O servants of Allah, 00:06:03.620 --> 00:06:05.220 Is a result, 00:06:05.220 --> 00:06:07.620 Of weak faith, 00:06:07.620 --> 00:06:09.300 And it is a form of injustice, 00:06:09.300 --> 00:06:11.660 By accusing others, 00:06:11.660 --> 00:06:13.339 By accusing them, 00:06:13.379 --> 00:06:15.779 With slander and falsehood. 00:06:15.779 --> 00:06:18.540 And injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection. 00:06:18.540 --> 00:06:21.259 Allah has forbidden injustice for Himself, 00:06:21.259 --> 00:06:24.339 And made it forbidden among His servants. 00:06:24.339 --> 00:06:26.300 Among the manifestations of injustice, 00:06:26.300 --> 00:06:28.620 Is filing malicious lawsuits, 00:06:28.620 --> 00:06:30.579 Which have no basis. 00:06:30.579 --> 00:06:34.300 For whoever brings a case to the judge with a false argument, 00:06:34.300 --> 00:06:36.339 And he rules in his favor because of it, 00:06:36.339 --> 00:06:38.660 Then he is consuming, 00:06:38.660 --> 00:06:41.420 The wealth of another unjustly. 00:06:41.459 --> 00:06:44.220 On the authority of Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with her, 00:06:44.220 --> 00:06:47.339 From the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, 00:06:47.339 --> 00:06:51.019 That he heard a dispute at the door of his chamber, 00:06:51.019 --> 00:06:52.860 So he went out to them, 00:06:52.860 --> 00:06:56.220 And said, "I am only a human being, 00:06:56.220 --> 00:06:58.660 And the disputants come to me, 00:06:58.660 --> 00:07:03.060 And perhaps some of you are more eloquent than others, 00:07:03.060 --> 00:07:05.180 So I think he is truthful, 00:07:05.180 --> 00:07:07.259 And I judge in his favor accordingly. 00:07:07.259 --> 00:07:09.860 So whoever I judge in his favor regarding the right of a Muslim, 00:07:09.860 --> 00:07:13.579 Then it is only a piece of fire, 00:07:13.579 --> 00:07:15.100 So let him take it, 00:07:15.100 --> 00:07:16.779 Or let him leave it." 00:07:16.779 --> 00:07:18.459 Narrated by al-Bukhari. 00:07:18.459 --> 00:07:22.579 It is not permissible to litigate in malicious, false lawsuits. 00:07:22.579 --> 00:07:24.019 The Almighty said: 00:07:24.019 --> 00:07:27.459 “Lo! We reveal unto thee the Scripture with the truth, that thou mayst judge between mankind by that which Allah showeth thee. And be not thou a pleader for the treacherous;” (4:105) 00:07:27.459 --> 00:07:30.379 Sheikh al-Sa'di, may Allah have mercy on him, said, 00:07:30.379 --> 00:07:31.980 Meaning: Do not dispute, 00:07:31.980 --> 00:07:34.779 On behalf of one whose treachery you have known, 00:07:34.779 --> 00:07:36.899 By claiming what is not his, 00:07:36.899 --> 00:07:39.139 Or denying a right owed by him. 00:07:39.139 --> 00:07:43.180 In this is evidence for the prohibition of disputing in falsehood, 00:07:43.180 --> 00:07:46.740 And acting as a representative for the wrongdoer in disputes, 00:07:46.740 --> 00:07:49.620 Whether religious or worldly rights. 00:07:49.620 --> 00:07:51.100 Based on this, 00:07:51.100 --> 00:07:52.540 The agent, 00:07:52.540 --> 00:07:56.740 If he knows that his client is in the wrong in his claim, 00:07:56.740 --> 00:07:59.980 It is not lawful for him to dispute on behalf of the traitor. 00:07:59.980 --> 00:08:02.500 The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: 00:08:02.500 --> 00:08:04.819 "Whoever disputes in falsehood, 00:08:04.819 --> 00:08:06.379 While he knows it, 00:08:06.379 --> 00:08:08.860 He will remain in the wrath of Allah, 00:08:08.899 --> --> 00:08:34.820 Then blames it on an innocent person, 00:08:34.820 --> 00:08:37.139 Then blames it on an innocent person, 00:08:37.179 --> 00:08:39.419 He has borne a slander, 00:08:39.419 --> 00:08:41.299 And a manifest sin." 00:08:41.299 --> 00:08:42.700 So fear injustice, 00:08:42.700 --> 00:08:45.139 And fear the supplication of the oppressed. 00:08:45.139 --> 00:08:47.379 Do not oppress anyone, 00:08:47.379 --> 00:08:50.500 So that his supplication does not cause you pain. 00:08:50.500 --> 00:08:51.740 And likewise, 00:08:51.740 --> 00:08:54.419 When Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas was accused, 00:08:54.419 --> 00:08:57.460 And he is one of the ten promised Paradise, 00:08:57.460 --> 00:08:58.700 They said about him, 00:08:58.700 --> 00:09:02.100 That he does not lead the military expedition, 00:09:02.100 --> 00:09:04.299 Nor does he distribute equally, 00:09:04.299 --> 00:09:06.620 Nor is he just in judgment. 00:09:06.620 --> 00:09:09.220 Meaning that he abandons Jihad, 00:09:09.220 --> 00:09:12.620 And does not distribute fairly from the public treasury, 00:09:12.620 --> 00:09:14.259 And is unjust in his ruling, 00:09:14.259 --> 00:09:16.460 When he judges between two disputants. 00:09:16.460 --> 00:09:17.779 So Sa'd said, 00:09:17.779 --> 00:09:19.139 "By Allah, 00:09:19.139 --> 00:09:22.100 I will surely supplicate against the one who accused me, 00:09:22.100 --> 00:09:23.220 With three things: 00:09:23.220 --> 00:09:25.820 O Allah, if this servant of Yours, 00:09:25.820 --> 00:09:28.019 Who said these words, 00:09:28.019 --> 00:09:29.740 And he knew who he was, 00:09:29.740 --> 00:09:31.500 If he was a liar, 00:09:31.500 --> 00:09:33.460 Acting out of hypocrisy and for fame." 00:09:33.500 --> 00:09:36.700 This caution regarding the supplication of the oppressed— 00:09:36.700 --> 00:09:39.820 "O Allah, if this servant of Yours is a liar, 00:09:39.820 --> 00:09:41.740 having stood up out of hypocrisy and for the sake of reputation, 00:09:41.740 --> 00:09:43.179 then prolong his life, 00:09:43.179 --> 00:09:44.620 prolong his poverty, 00:09:44.620 --> 00:09:46.419 and expose him to trials." 00:09:46.419 --> 00:09:47.779 This man— 00:09:47.779 --> 00:09:49.500 he was seen after that, 00:09:49.500 --> 00:09:51.139 an elderly man, 00:09:51.139 --> 00:09:54.259 his eyebrows having fallen over his eyes from old age, 00:09:54.259 --> 00:09:56.940 accosting young women in the street, 00:09:56.940 --> 00:09:58.299 winking at them. 00:09:58.299 --> 00:09:59.940 When asked, he would say, 00:09:59.940 --> 00:10:02.580 "An old man afflicted by trial; 00:10:02.620 --> 00:10:04.940 the supplication of Sa'd has struck me." 00:10:04.940 --> 00:10:08.379 In this is the permissibility of supplicating against a specific oppressor. 00:10:08.379 --> 00:10:09.539 And likewise, 00:10:09.539 --> 00:10:11.899 Allah answered the supplication of Sa'd, 00:10:11.899 --> 00:10:14.379 for he was one whose supplication was answered. 00:10:14.379 --> 00:10:15.419 Furthermore, 00:10:15.419 --> 00:10:17.700 when Sa'id Ibn Zayd was accused 00:10:17.700 --> 00:10:18.620 of 00:10:18.620 --> 00:10:21.299 having taken a portion of land belonging to his neighbor, 00:10:21.299 --> 00:10:23.419 she accused him before the Caliph. 00:10:23.419 --> 00:10:25.259 He said, may Allah be pleased with him, 00:10:25.259 --> 00:10:26.220 "Would I 00:10:26.220 --> 00:10:28.779 take anything from her land 00:10:28.779 --> 00:10:31.340 after what I heard from the Messenger of Allah, 00:10:31.379 --> 00:10:33.940 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him? 00:10:33.940 --> 00:10:35.419 Never, by Allah." 00:10:35.419 --> 00:10:37.019 He was asked, "What did you hear?" 00:10:37.019 --> 00:10:38.980 He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, 00:10:38.980 --> 00:10:41.620 peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 00:10:41.620 --> 00:10:44.460 'Whoever takes a span of land unjustly, 00:10:44.460 --> 00:10:46.899 it will be tied around his neck 00:10:46.899 --> 00:10:49.379 down to the seven earths on the Day of Resurrection.'" 00:10:49.379 --> 00:10:50.620 Then he said, 00:10:50.620 --> 00:10:53.500 "O Allah, if she is a liar, 00:10:53.500 --> 00:10:54.980 then take away her sight, 00:10:54.980 --> 00:10:57.179 and cause her to die on her own land." 00:10:57.179 --> 00:10:58.460 The narrator said, 00:10:58.460 --> 00:10:59.659 "She did not die 00:10:59.700 --> 00:11:01.659 until she lost her sight, 00:11:01.659 --> 00:11:04.860 and then, while she was walking on her land, 00:11:04.860 --> 00:11:07.820 she fell into a pit and died." 00:11:07.820 --> 00:11:09.139 Narrated by Muslim. 00:11:09.139 --> 00:11:10.659 So beware, beware 00:11:10.659 --> 00:11:13.620 of accusing a Muslim with a malicious claim, 00:11:13.620 --> 00:11:15.820 accusing him of hypocrisy, 00:11:15.820 --> 00:11:18.179 for you will bear the burden of that sin and transgression, 00:11:18.179 --> 00:11:20.539 and that is a grave slander. 00:11:20.539 --> 00:11:22.340 This is a form of oppression. 00:11:22.340 --> 00:11:24.220 Perhaps through oppression, 00:11:24.220 --> 00:11:27.539 you may be able to possess everything you desire, 00:11:27.580 --> 00:11:30.379 but with one supplication from an oppressed person, 00:11:30.379 --> 00:11:32.620 you lose everything you possessed. 00:11:32.620 --> 00:11:34.139 Do not oppress us 00:11:34.139 --> 00:11:36.299 when you are in a position of power, 00:11:36.299 --> 00:11:39.179 for the end of oppression brings you only regret. 00:11:39.179 --> 00:11:42.299 Your eyes sleep while the oppressed is awake, 00:11:42.299 --> 00:11:45.379 calling out against you, and the eye of Allah does not sleep. 00:11:45.379 --> 00:11:47.340 Be mindful, O servant of Allah, 00:11:47.340 --> 00:11:48.940 of oppressing anyone, 00:11:48.940 --> 00:11:50.779 or making a false accusation, 00:11:50.779 --> 00:11:52.539 or wronging anyone, 00:11:52.539 --> 00:11:53.899 for if he calls out against you, 00:11:53.899 --> 00:11:55.419 if he calls out against you, 00:11:55.460 --> 00:11:57.700 then this oppressed person has transferred 00:11:57.700 --> 00:11:59.700 the case file 00:11:59.700 --> 00:12:00.820 from the earth 00:12:00.820 --> 00:12:02.820 to the Judge of the heavens. 00:12:02.820 --> 00:12:04.379 So beware, beware 00:12:04.379 --> 00:12:06.019 of accusing an innocent person, 00:12:06.019 --> 00:12:08.500 or oppressing any of the servants of Allah. 00:12:08.500 --> 00:12:11.620 We ask Allah to spare us from oppression and its people, 00:12:11.620 -->
