A Summary of the Fundamentals of Ahl al-Sunnah
The seeker of knowledge and contemplating the Qur'an
The seeker of knowledge should begin by memorizing and contemplating the Qur'an,
seeking guidance in understanding it from the words of the earliest followers among the salaf (early generations).
At that point, Allah may grant him unique insights and pure guidance,
provided that he adheres to the general rules of contemplation,
and avoids anything contrary to the sacred law.
Thus, what Allah opens to him will be by way of valuable addition rather than contradiction.
