00:00:00.180 --> 00:00:09.060
A Summary of the Fundamentals of Ahl al-Sunnah

00:00:09.060 --> 00:00:13.060
The seeker of knowledge and contemplating the Qur'an

00:00:13.060 --> 00:00:18.920
The seeker of knowledge should begin by memorizing and contemplating the Qur'an,

00:00:18.920 --> 00:00:23.920
seeking guidance in understanding it from the words of the earliest followers among the salaf (early generations).

00:00:23.920 --> 00:00:29.920
At that point, Allah may grant him unique insights and pure guidance,

00:00:29.920 --> 00:00:34.920
provided that he adheres to the general rules of contemplation,

00:00:34.920 --> 00:00:37.920
and avoids anything contrary to the sacred law.

00:00:37.920 --> 00:00:44.920
Thus, what Allah opens to him will be by way of valuable addition rather than contradiction.
