In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
From the very foundation,
man loves wealth with an intense love,
and he loves profit while fearing loss.
This is a nature ingrained in man and his innate disposition.
For this reason, Allah the Exalted addressed man using commercial concepts.
This commercial discourse
kept people in a state of anticipation and readiness.
The question was posed to stir interest:
"Shall I guide you...?"
You love profit and are pained by loss.
This trade with Allah is a profitable trade,
containing immense gains.
Its capital is faith in Allah the Exalted and His Messenger,
and striving in the cause of Allah with one's wealth and one's self.
Allah the Exalted has purchased from the believers their lives and their wealth.
He is the Buyer, offering a profit,
and what profit is greater than Paradise,
which Allah the Exalted has prepared for the righteous?
The world of commerce today
is based on annual profit margins,
which may reach 12% of the capital.
This percentage makes the investor willing to risk his wealth
for the sake of obtaining it as profit,
driven by his innate love for wealth.
Yet his profit, whatever it may be,
has a limit and a ceiling.
But if a person trades with Allah,
his profit has no limit and no end;
indeed, it is difficult for the human mind to even conceive of it.
This profit has no numerical percentage,
no zeros and no digits,
but rather, the giving of Allah is continuous and boundless.
This is trade with Allah the Exalted:
a guaranteed trade in which there is no loss,
but rather, it is all profit, eternity, and everlasting bliss.
It is a trade with limited costs
and unlimited profit.
Therefore, the most intelligent merchant of all
is the one who trades with Allah,
and the most foolish person is the one who does without the bounty of Allah.
