Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir said
This is agreed upon among scholars
The splitting of the moon occurred during the time of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
And it was one of the most amazing miracles
The two sheikhs narrated it in their Sahihs
On the authority of Anas Ibn Malik, may God be pleased with him, he said
The people of Mecca asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to show them a sign
The moon showed them two slits until they saw Hira between them

On the authority of Abdullah Ibn Masoudh, may God be pleased with him, he said
The moon split and we were with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in Mina

Al-Hafiz said in Al-Fath
This does not contradict the statement of Anas, may God be pleased with him
That was in Mecca
Because he did not declare that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was in Mecca on a night
Based on his statement, he was excluded from Mecca
No quarrels
Al-Tayalisi narrated it in his Musnad with an authentic chain of narration
On the authority of Abdullah Ibn Masoudh, may God be pleased with him, he said
The moon split during the time of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
Quraysh said
This is the magic of Ibn Abi Kabsha
They said, "Wait for what the ambassador brings to you."
Muhammad cannot charm all people
He said: The ambassador came and said that
And God Almighty revealed His saying about that
The hour approached and the moon split
And if they see a sign, they turn away and say: continuous magic
