00:01:16.129 --> 00:01:18.129 Creation 00:01:18.129 --> 00:01:20.129 Indeed, it is the greatest of all creations 00:01:20.129 --> 00:01:22.129 And the most expansive 00:01:22.129 --> 00:01:24.260 And the highest and heaviest 00:01:24.260 --> 00:01:26.260 It is above the heavens 00:01:26.260 --> 00:01:28.260 Like a dome 00:01:28.260 --> 00:01:30.260 It has four pillars 00:01:30.260 --> 00:01:32.540 00:04:06.020 At the end of creation 00:04:06.020 --> 00:04:08.020 In the last hour 00:04:08.020 --> 00:04:10.020 Of the hours of Friday 00:04:10.020 --> 00:04:12.020 Between the Asr prayer 00:04:12.020 --> 00:04:14.180 And the night 00:04:14.180 --> 00:04:16.180 These seven days 00:04:16.180 --> 00:04:18.180 Are different from the six days 00:04:18.180 --> 00:04:20.180 In which were created 00:04:20.180 --> 00:04:23.490 The heavens and the earth 00:04:23.490 --> 00:04:25.490 And Allah the Almighty created 00:04:25.490 --> 00:04:27.490 In the heaven the angels 00:04:27.490 --> 00:04:29.490 He created them from light 00:04:29.490 --> 00:04:31.550 And Allah created the jinn 00:04:31.550 --> 00:04:33.550 On the earth 00:04:33.550 --> 00:04:35.550 He created them from a smokeless flame 00:04:35.550 --> 00:04:37.680 Of fire 00:04:37.680 --> 00:04:39.680 He charged them with commands and prohibitions 00:04:39.680 --> 00:04:41.680 And legislated for them 00:04:41.680 --> 00:04:43.709 The lawful and the unlawful 00:04:43.709 --> 00:04:45.709 But the jinn transgressed 00:04:45.709 --> 00:04:47.709 Against the command of their Lord 00:04:47.709 --> 00:04:49.709 And spread corruption on the earth 00:04:49.709 --> 00:04:51.709 And grew arrogant and tyrannical 00:04:51.709 --> 00:04:53.709 And shed blood 00:04:53.709 --> 00:04:56.000 So Allah the Almighty commanded 00:04:56.000 --> 00:04:58.000 The angels to fight 00:04:58.000 --> 00:05:00.000 The corrupt jinn 00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:02.000 So the angels descended 00:05:02.000 --> 00:05:04.000 To the earth and fought 00:05:04.000 --> 00:05:06.000 The jinn until 00:05:06.000 --> 00:05:08.000 They drove them to the islands 00:05:08.000 --> 00:05:10.029 At the edges of the seas 00:05:10.029 --> 00:05:12.029 And the earth became 00:05:12.029 --> 00:05:14.029 Purified from their filth 00:05:14.379 --> 00:05:16.379 Except for one 00:05:16.379 --> 00:05:18.379 Of the jinn called 00:05:18.379 --> 00:05:20.379 Iblis, who was among 00:05:20.379 --> 00:05:22.379 The most righteous and devout of them 00:05:22.379 --> 00:05:24.480 He attained such knowledge and righteousness 00:05:24.480 --> 00:05:26.480 That qualified him 00:05:26.480 --> 00:05:28.480 For Allah the Almighty to elevate him 00:05:28.480 --> 00:05:30.480 To the rank of the angels 00:05:30.480 --> 00:05:32.610 In the heaven 00:05:32.610 --> 00:05:34.610 So Iblis was counted 00:05:34.610 --> 00:05:36.610 Among the angels 00:05:36.610 --> 00:05:38.610 Even if he was not one of them 00:05:38.610 --> 00:05:41.279 Then Allah the Almighty 00:05:41.279 --> 00:05:43.279 Said to the angels 00:05:43.279 --> 00:05:45.279 Indeed, I will make 00:05:45.279 --> 00:05:47.279 Upon the earth a successor 00:05:47.279 --> 00:05:49.279 Meaning a creation that succeeds 00:05:49.279 --> 00:05:51.410 One another 00:05:51.410 --> 00:05:53.410 And the angels, recently 00:05:53.410 --> 00:05:55.410 Had been fighting the jinn 00:05:55.410 --> 00:05:57.410 On the earth due to their corruption 00:05:57.410 --> 00:05:59.500 And their shedding of blood 00:05:59.500 --> 00:06:01.500 So the angels said 00:06:01.500 --> 00:06:03.500 Seeking information and clarification 00:06:03.500 --> 00:06:05.500 Not in objection to 00:06:05.500 --> 00:06:07.500 The command of Allah: Will You place 00:06:07.500 --> 00:06:09.500 “And when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Wilt thou place therein one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee? He said: Surely I know that which ye know not.” (2:30) 00:06:09.500 --> 00:06:11.500 And sheds blood? 00:06:11.500 --> 00:06:13.660 O our Lord 00:06:13.660 --> 00:06:15.660 If the purpose is to glorify You 00:06:15.660 --> 00:06:17.660 And worship You, then we 00:06:17.660 --> 00:06:19.660 Exalt You with Your praise 00:06:19.660 --> 00:06:22.110 And sanctify You 00:06:22.110 --> 00:06:24.110 So the answer came from the All-Knowing 00:06:24.110 --> 00:06:26.110 The Wise 00:06:26.110 --> 00:06:28.110 Indeed, I know 00:06:28.110 --> 00:06:30.269 That which you do not know 00:06:30.269 --> 00:06:32.269 Meaning I know of the benefits 00:06:32.269 --> 00:06:34.269 And virtues and wisdoms 00:06:34.269 --> 00:06:36.269 What you do not know 00:06:36.269 --> 00:06:38.269 And your perception cannot reach 00:06:38.269 --> 00:06:40.430 So the 00:06:40.430 --> 00:06:42.430 Angels obeyed the command of Allah 00:06:42.430 --> 00:06:45.810 The Almighty 00:06:45.810 --> 00:06:47.810 Then on Friday 00:06:47.810 --> 00:06:49.810 That great day 00:06:49.810 --> 00:06:51.810 In which Allah created Adam 00:06:51.810 --> 00:06:53.810 And in it he was sent down 00:06:53.810 --> 00:06:55.810 To the earth 00:06:55.810 --> 00:06:57.810 In it, Allah accepted his repentance. 00:06:57.810 --> 00:06:59.810 In it, he died. 00:06:59.810 --> 00:07:01.810 And in it, the Hour will be established. 00:07:01.810 --> 00:07:04.029 When Allah, 00:07:04.029 --> 00:07:06.029 Exalted be He, willed to create Adam, 00:07:06.029 --> 00:07:08.029 peace be upon him, 00:07:08.029 --> 00:07:10.029 He took a handful from the earth, 00:07:10.029 --> 00:07:12.060 containing all the colors 00:07:12.060 --> 00:07:14.060 of soil, its various types, 00:07:14.060 --> 00:07:16.060 and its characteristics. 00:07:16.060 --> 00:07:18.060 That is why his offspring came forth 00:07:18.060 --> 00:07:20.060 diverse in colors, characteristics, 00:07:20.060 --> 00:07:22.060 and traits. 00:07:22.060 --> 00:07:24.290 Allah created Adam 00:07:24.290 --> 00:07:26.290 first from dust. 00:07:26.290 --> 00:07:28.379 Indeed, the likeness of ‘Isa, 00:07:28.379 --> 00:07:30.379 “Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is.” (3:59) 00:07:30.379 --> 00:07:32.379 He created him from 00:07:32.379 --> 00:07:34.639 dust. 00:07:34.639 --> 00:07:36.639 Then He mixed the dust with water, 00:07:36.639 --> 00:07:38.639 and it became clay. 00:07:38.639 --> 00:07:40.800 He who perfected 00:07:40.800 --> 00:07:42.800 everything He created, 00:07:42.800 --> 00:07:44.800 and began [the creation]. 00:07:44.800 --> 00:07:46.800 “Who made all things good which He created, and He began the creation of man from clay;” (32:7) 00:07:46.800 --> 00:07:48.959 Then He left this clay 00:07:48.959 --> 00:07:50.959 until it became dark, altered 00:07:50.959 --> 00:07:52.959 mud. 00:07:52.959 --> 00:07:54.959 Foul-smelling, 00:07:54.959 --> 00:07:56.959 and smooth, ringing clay. 00:07:56.959 --> 00:07:59.089 And We have certainly created 00:07:59.089 --> 00:08:01.089 man from ringing clay, 00:08:01.089 --> 00:08:03.089 from dark, altered mud. 00:08:03.089 --> 00:08:05.470 Then He left it 00:08:05.470 --> 00:08:07.470 until it dried and became 00:08:07.470 --> 00:08:09.569 like pottery. 00:08:09.569 --> 00:08:11.569 Man was created from 00:08:11.569 --> 00:08:13.569 clay like pottery. 00:08:13.569 --> 00:08:16.720 Thus, 00:08:16.720 --> 00:08:18.720 Allah created Adam with His Hand from 00:08:18.720 --> 00:08:20.819 dust. 00:08:20.819 --> 00:08:22.819 And Allah created his offspring 00:08:22.819 --> 00:08:24.819 from a base fluid. 00:08:24.819 --> 00:08:26.819 So blessed is Allah, 00:08:26.819 --> 00:08:28.819 the best of creators. 00:08:28.819 --> 00:08:31.199 The Mother of the Believers, 00:08:31.199 --> 00:08:33.200 ‘A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: 00:08:33.200 --> 00:08:35.330 "The angels were created 00:08:35.330 --> 00:08:37.389 from light, 00:08:37.389 --> 00:08:39.389 and the jinn were created..." 00:08:39.389 --> 00:08:41.519 “And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire.” (55:15) 00:08:41.519 --> 00:08:43.519 hollow, without a soul. 00:08:58.379 --> 00:09:00.379 He left him in this 00:09:00.379 --> 00:09:02.379 state for as long as He willed 00:09:02.379 --> 00:09:04.539 to leave him. 00:09:04.539 --> 00:09:06.539 So Iblis began to circle around him, 00:09:06.539 --> 00:09:08.539 contemplating him. 00:09:08.539 --> 00:09:10.539 When he saw him hollow, 00:09:10.539 --> 00:09:12.539 he knew that Allah 00:09:12.539 --> 00:09:14.539 had created a being that could not restrain itself, 00:09:14.539 --> 00:09:16.539 meaning it possessed a weakness 00:09:16.539 --> 00:09:18.539 and a lack of stability 00:09:18.539 --> 00:09:20.539 that was not present in others 00:09:20.539 --> 00:09:23.019 among the creation. 00:09:23.019 --> 00:09:25.019 Then Allah, Exalted be He, breathed 00:09:25.019 --> 00:09:27.120 the soul into Adam. 00:09:27.120 --> 00:09:29.120 When life stirred 00:09:29.120 --> 00:09:31.120 in his body, he sneezed, 00:09:31.120 --> 00:09:33.120 and said, "Praise be 00:09:33.120 --> 00:09:35.120 to Allah." 00:09:35.120 --> 00:09:37.120 His Lord said to him, 00:09:37.120 --> 00:09:39.120 "May your Lord have mercy on you, O Adam." 00:09:39.120 --> 00:09:41.220 And He said to him, 00:09:41.220 --> 00:09:43.220 "O Adam, 00:09:43.220 --> 00:09:45.220 go to that group 00:09:45.220 --> 00:09:47.220 of the angels 00:09:47.220 --> 00:09:49.220 and say, 'Peace be upon you.'" 00:09:49.220 --> 00:09:51.250 So Adam went 00:09:51.250 --> 00:09:53.250 to them 00:09:53.250 --> 00:09:55.250 and greeted them as his Lord had commanded him. 00:09:55.250 --> 00:09:57.250 The angels replied, 00:09:57.250 --> 00:09:59.250 "And upon you be peace, 00:09:59.250 --> 00:10:01.250 and the mercy of Allah and His blessings." 00:10:01.250 --> 00:10:03.440 Then Adam returned 00:10:03.440 --> 00:10:05.440 to his Lord, the Almighty and Majestic, 00:10:05.440 --> 00:10:07.440 and Allah said 00:10:07.440 --> 00:10:09.470 to him, "This 00:10:09.470 --> 00:10:11.470 is your greeting and the greeting..." 00:10:11.470 --> 00:10:14.139 Then Allah, Glorified and Exalted be He, 00:10:14.139 --> 00:10:16.139 willed to demonstrate 00:10:16.139 --> 00:10:18.139 to the angels 00:10:26.210 the names of everything, 00:10:26.210 --> 00:10:28.210 every single thing. 00:10:28.210 --> 00:10:30.210 The mountain, the tree, the stone, 00:10:30.210 --> 00:10:32.210 and all inanimate objects, 00:10:32.210 --> 00:10:34.210 and the lion, the tiger, 00:10:34.210 --> 00:10:36.210 and all animals. 00:10:36.210 --> 00:10:38.299 Then Allah 00:10:38.299 --> 00:10:40.299 commanded the angels, saying, 00:10:40.299 --> 00:10:42.299 "Inform Me 00:10:42.299 --> 00:10:44.299 of the names of these." 00:10:44.299 --> 00:10:46.299 The angels replied 00:10:46.299 --> 00:10:48.299 with all politeness 00:10:48.299 --> 00:10:50.299 toward the Lord of Might, Blessed and Exalted be He. 00:10:50.299 --> 00:10:52.299 They said, 00:10:52.299 --> 00:10:54.299 "Exalted are You, 00:10:54.299 --> 00:10:56.299 we have no knowledge 00:10:56.299 --> 00:10:58.299 except what You have taught us." 00:10:58.299 --> 00:11:00.299 “They said: Be glorified! We have no knowledge saving that which Thou hast taught us. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower, the Wise.” (2:32) 00:11:00.299 --> 00:11:02.399 Allah said, 00:11:02.399 --> 00:11:04.399 "O Adam, 00:11:04.399 --> 00:11:06.399 inform them of their names." 00:11:06.399 --> 00:11:08.460 So Adam began 00:11:08.460 --> 00:11:10.460 to name everything 00:11:10.460 --> 00:11:12.529 by its name. 00:11:12.529 --> 00:11:14.529 Thus the angels recognized 00:11:14.529 --> 00:11:16.529 the merit of Adam over them 00:11:16.529 --> 00:11:18.529 through the knowledge that 00:11:18.529 --> 00:11:21.649 Allah had taught him. Allah, 00:11:21.649 --> 00:11:23.649 Exalted be He, said: 00:11:23.649 --> 00:11:25.649 ﴾And when your Lord said 00:11:25.649 --> 00:11:27.649 to the angels, 00:11:27.649 --> 00:11:29.649 "Indeed, I will make 00:11:29.649 --> 00:11:31.649 upon the earth a successor."﴿ 00:11:31.649 --> 00:11:33.649 They said, "Will You place 00:11:33.649 --> 00:11:35.649 in it one who 00:11:35.649 --> 00:11:37.649 causes corruption therein 00:11:37.649 --> 00:11:39.649 and sheds blood, 00:11:39.649 --> 00:11:41.649 and sheds blood, 00:11:41.649 --> 00:11:43.649 while we 00:11:43.649 --> 00:11:45.649 exalt You with praise 00:11:45.649 --> 00:11:47.649 and declare Your holiness?" 00:11:47.649 --> 00:11:49.649 He said, "Indeed, I 00:11:49.649 --> 00:11:51.649 know that which you 00:11:51.649 --> 00:11:53.649 do not know." 00:11:53.649 --> 00:11:55.649 And He taught Adam 00:11:55.649 --> 00:11:57.649 the names, all of them. 00:11:57.649 --> 00:11:59.649 Then He presented them 00:11:59.649 --> 00:12:01.649 to the angels. 00:12:01.649 --> 00:12:03.649 Then He presented them 00:12:03.649 --> 00:12:05.649 to the angels, 00:12:05.649 --> 00:12:07.649 and said, 00:12:07.649 --> 00:12:09.649 "Inform Me 00:12:11.649 --> 00:12:13.649 of the names 00:12:13.649 --> 00:12:15.649 of these, 00:12:15.649 --> 00:12:17.649 if you are 00:12:17.649 --> 00:12:19.649 truthful." 00:12:19.649 --> 00:12:21.649 They said, "Exalted are You, 00:12:21.649 --> 00:12:23.649 we have no knowledge 00:12:23.649 --> 00:12:25.649 except what You have taught us. 00:12:25.649 --> 00:12:27.649 Indeed, it is You 00:12:27.649 --> 00:12:29.649 who is the Knowing, 00:12:29.649 --> 00:12:31.649 the Wise." 00:12:31.649 --> 00:12:33.649 He said, "O Adam, 00:12:33.649 --> 00:12:35.649 O Adam, 00:12:35.649 --> 00:12:37.649 inform them 00:12:37.649 --> 00:12:39.649 of their names." 00:12:39.649 --> 00:12:41.649 So when 00:12:41.649 --> 00:12:43.649 he informed them 00:12:43.649 --> 00:12:45.649 of their names, 00:12:45.649 --> 00:12:47.649 He said, "Did I not 00:12:47.649 --> 00:12:49.649 tell you?" 00:12:49.649 --> 00:12:51.649 He said, "Did I not tell you 00:12:51.649 --> 00:12:53.649 that I know the unseen 00:12:53.649 --> 00:12:55.649 of the heavens and the earth? 00:12:55.649 --> 00:12:57.649 And I know what 00:12:57.649 --> 00:12:59.649 you reveal, 00:12:59.649 --> 00:13:01.649 and I know what you reveal 00:13:01.649 --> 00:13:03.649 and what you have been concealing." 00:13:03.649 --> 00:13:06.000 Then Allah, 00:13:06.000 --> 00:13:08.000 Exalted be He, commanded the angels 00:13:08.000 --> 00:13:10.000 to prostrate to Adam, 00:13:10.000 --> 00:13:12.000 peace be upon him— 00:13:12.000 --> 00:13:14.000 a prostration of greeting, not a prostration of worship. 00:13:14.000 --> 00:13:16.059 And the command 00:13:16.059 --> 00:13:18.059 included Iblis as well, 00:13:18.059 --> 00:13:20.059 because he was with the angels. 00:13:20.059 --> 00:13:22.220 So the angels prostrated, 00:13:22.220 --> 00:13:24.220 all of them entirely, 00:13:24.220 --> 00:13:26.220 except Iblis. 00:13:26.220 --> 00:13:28.220 He grew arrogant toward the prostration, 00:13:28.220 --> 00:13:30.220 boasting of the origin 00:13:30.220 --> 00:13:32.220 from which he was created, 00:13:32.220 --> 00:13:34.220 acting haughtily toward Adam, 00:13:34.220 --> 00:13:36.220 and disobeying the command of his Lord, 00:13:36.220 --> 00:13:38.539 Blessed and Exalted be He. 00:13:38.539 --> 00:13:40.539 Allah, Exalted be He, said 00:13:40.539 --> 00:13:42.539 to Iblis: 00:13:42.539 --> 00:13:44.639 “He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted?” (38:75) 00:13:44.639 --> 00:13:46.639 "When I commanded you?" 00:13:46.639 --> 00:13:48.639 The accursed one replied, 00:13:48.639 --> 00:13:50.639 "I am better than him; 00:13:50.639 --> 00:13:52.639 You created me from fire, 00:13:52.639 --> 00:13:54.700 And He created him from clay. 00:13:54.700 --> 00:13:56.700 Then the divine command came. 00:13:56.700 --> 00:13:58.700 So he descended from it. 00:13:58.700 --> 00:14:00.700 “He said: Then go down hence! It is not for thee to show pride here, so go forth! Lo! thou art of those degraded.” (7:13) 00:14:00.700 --> 00:14:02.700 And he departed. 00:14:02.700 --> 00:14:04.700 "You are among the humiliated." 00:14:04.700 --> 00:14:06.799 Thus it is. 00:14:06.799 --> 00:14:08.799 The recompense is of the same nature as the deed. 00:14:08.799 --> 00:14:10.799 When he refused 00:14:10.799 --> 00:14:12.799 to prostrate out of arrogance, 00:14:12.799 --> 00:14:14.799 Allah made him among the humiliated. 00:14:14.799 --> 00:14:17.120 Then the accursed Iblis 00:14:17.120 --> 00:14:19.120 asked Allah 00:14:19.120 --> 00:14:21.120 for a respite, 00:14:21.120 --> 00:14:23.120 that He not cause him to die until the day 00:14:23.120 --> 00:14:25.120 when people are resurrected, 00:14:25.120 --> 00:14:27.220 which is the Day of Resurrection. 00:14:27.220 --> 00:14:29.220 His purpose in that 00:14:29.220 --> 00:14:31.220 was not to die. 00:14:31.220 --> 00:14:33.220 Then the response came from Allah, 00:14:33.220 --> 00:14:35.220 the Exalted, the All-Powerful: 00:14:35.220 --> 00:14:37.220 "You are among those granted respite, 00:14:37.220 --> 00:14:39.220 but 00:14:39.220 --> 00:14:41.220 until the day of the known time," 00:14:41.220 --> 00:14:43.220 which is the time of the first 00:14:43.220 --> 00:14:45.220 blast of the Trumpet, 00:14:45.220 --> 00:14:47.220 when all creation shall perish. 00:14:47.220 --> 00:14:49.539 At that point, 00:14:49.539 --> 00:14:51.539 the accursed Satan declared his enmity 00:14:51.539 --> 00:14:53.539 toward Adam and his descendants, 00:14:53.539 --> 00:14:55.539 and he took it upon himself 00:14:55.539 --> 00:14:57.539 to lead astray whomever he could 00:14:57.539 --> 00:14:59.539 of Adam's descendants, 00:14:59.539 --> 00:15:01.700 all of them. 00:15:01.700 --> 00:15:03.700 So Allah said to him: 00:15:03.700 --> 00:15:05.700 "Depart from Paradise, 00:15:05.700 --> 00:15:07.700 despised and driven away. 00:15:07.700 --> 00:15:09.700 I will surely fill Hell 00:15:09.700 --> 00:15:11.700 with you and those who follow you 00:15:11.700 --> 00:15:13.700 from among the descendants of Adam, 00:15:13.700 --> 00:15:16.820 all of them." 00:15:16.820 --> 00:15:18.820 And thus, 00:15:18.820 --> 00:15:20.820 the battle began in this life 00:15:20.820 --> 00:15:22.820 between the accursed Satan 00:15:22.820 --> 00:15:24.820 on one side, 00:15:24.820 --> 00:15:26.820 and Adam and his descendants 00:15:26.820 --> 00:15:29.169 on the other. 00:15:29.169 --> 00:15:31.169 Allah the Exalted said: 00:15:31.169 --> 00:15:33.200 "And We have certainly created you, 00:15:33.200 --> 00:15:35.200 then 00:15:35.200 --> 00:15:37.200 given you form, 00:15:37.200 --> 00:15:39.200 then We said 00:15:39.200 --> 00:15:41.200 to the angels, 00:15:41.200 --> 00:15:43.200 then We said 00:15:43.200 --> 00:15:45.200 to the angels: 00:15:45.200 --> 00:15:47.200 'Prostrate to Adam,' 00:15:47.200 --> 00:15:49.200 so they prostrated, 00:15:49.200 --> 00:15:51.200 they prostrated except 00:15:51.200 --> 00:15:53.200 Iblis; he was not 00:15:53.200 --> 00:15:55.200 among those who prostrated. 00:15:57.200 --> 00:15:59.200 He said, 'What prevented you 00:15:59.200 --> 00:16:01.200 from prostrating when 00:16:01.200 --> 00:16:03.200 I commanded you?' He said, 00:16:03.200 --> 00:16:05.200 'I am better than him; 00:16:05.200 --> 00:16:07.200 You created me from 00:16:07.200 --> 00:16:09.200 fire and created him 00:16:09.200 --> 00:16:11.200 from clay.' 00:16:11.200 --> 00:16:13.200 He said, 'Descend 00:16:13.200 --> 00:16:15.200 from it, for it is not for you 00:16:15.200 --> 00:16:17.200 to be 00:16:17.200 --> 00:16:19.200 arrogant therein.' 00:16:19.200 --> 00:16:21.200 So he departed, 00:16:21.200 --> 00:16:23.200 'You are among 00:16:23.200 --> 00:16:25.200 the humiliated.' 00:16:25.200 --> 00:16:27.200 He said, 'Respite me 00:16:27.200 --> 00:16:29.200 until the day they are resurrected.' 00:16:31.200 --> 00:16:33.200 He said, 'You are 00:16:33.200 --> 00:16:35.200 among those granted respite.' 00:16:37.200 --> 00:16:39.200 He said, 'Because You have put me in error, 00:16:39.200 --> 00:16:41.200 I will surely sit in wait for them 00:16:41.200 --> 00:16:43.200 on Your straight path. 00:16:45.200 --> 00:16:47.200 Then I will come to 00:16:47.200 --> 00:16:49.200 them 00:16:49.200 --> 00:16:51.389 from before them 00:16:51.389 --> 00:16:53.389 and from behind them, 00:16:53.389 --> 00:16:55.389 and from behind them, 00:16:55.389 --> 00:16:57.389 and from their right 00:16:57.389 --> 00:16:59.389 and from their left, 00:16:59.389 --> 00:17:01.389 and You will not find 00:17:01.389 --> 00:17:03.389 most of them grateful.' 00:17:05.390 --> 00:17:07.390 He said, 'Depart from it, 00:17:07.390 --> 00:17:09.390 despised and expelled. 00:17:09.390 --> 00:17:11.390 Whoever 00:17:11.390 --> 00:17:13.390 follows you among them, 00:17:13.390 --> 00:17:15.390 I will surely fill 00:17:15.390 --> 00:17:17.390 Hell with 00:17:17.390 --> 00:17:19.390 you all.' 00:17:22.029 --> 00:17:24.029 Then Allah the Exalted created for Adam, 00:17:24.029 --> 00:17:26.029 peace be upon him, his wife, 00:17:26.029 --> 00:17:28.029 Hawwa (Eve). 00:17:28.029 --> 00:17:30.029 Allah the Exalted created her from the rib of Adam, 00:17:30.029 --> 00:17:32.029 peace be upon him, 00:17:32.029 --> 00:17:34.029 so that he might find comfort in her and dwell 00:17:34.029 --> 00:17:36.029 with her, 00:17:36.029 --> 00:17:38.029 and that the progeny would thereafter be 00:17:38.029 --> 00:17:40.190 from their offspring. 00:17:40.190 --> 00:17:42.190 And Allah the Exalted commanded 00:17:42.190 --> 00:17:44.190 our parents, Adam and Hawwa, 00:17:44.190 --> 00:17:46.190 to dwell in Paradise, 00:17:46.190 --> 00:17:48.190 to eat from its fruits, 00:17:48.190 --> 00:17:50.190 and to enjoy its bounties, 00:17:50.190 --> 00:17:52.190 but He forbade them 00:17:52.190 --> 00:17:54.190 from eating from a tree 00:17:54.190 --> 00:17:56.190 specified by itself, 00:17:56.190 --> 00:17:58.190 and warned them that they would be 00:17:58.190 --> 00:18:00.190 among the wrongdoers 00:18:00.190 --> 00:18:02.190 if they ate from that 00:18:02.190 --> 00:18:04.349 tree. 00:18:04.349 --> 00:18:06.349 Satan exploited this matter 00:18:06.349 --> 00:18:08.349 and whispered to them to eat 00:18:08.349 --> 00:18:10.349 from that tree, 00:18:10.349 --> 00:18:12.349 and he lied to them, 00:18:12.349 --> 00:18:14.349 saying: 00:18:14.349 --> 00:18:16.349 “Then Satan whispered to them that he might manifest unto them that which was hidden from them of their shame, and he said: Your Lord forbade you from this tree only lest ye should become angels or become of the immortals.” (7:20) 00:18:16.349 --> 00:18:18.349 'Unless you become 00:18:18.349 --> 00:18:20.349 two angels from among 00:18:20.349 --> 00:18:22.349 the angels of the Most Merciful, 00:18:22.349 --> 00:18:24.349 or you become of the immortals 00:18:24.349 --> 00:18:26.349 in the Gardens.' 00:18:26.349 --> 00:18:28.349 And he swore to them. 00:18:28.349 --> 00:18:30.349 “And he swore unto them (saying): Lo! I am a sincere adviser unto you.” (7:21) 00:18:30.349 --> 00:18:32.420 It did not cross 00:18:32.420 --> 00:18:34.420 the minds of Adam and Hawwa 00:18:34.420 --> 00:18:36.420 that anyone would dare 00:18:36.420 --> 00:18:38.420 to swear by Allah 00:18:38.420 --> 00:18:40.480 falsely. 00:18:40.480 --> 00:18:42.480 So they obeyed Iblis. 00:18:42.480 --> 00:18:44.480 When they tasted of the tree, 00:18:44.480 --> 00:18:46.480 there was immediately removed 00:18:46.480 --> 00:18:48.480 from them the light that 00:18:48.480 --> 00:18:50.480 had been covering their private parts, 00:18:50.480 --> 00:18:52.480 and their private parts became apparent 00:18:52.480 --> 00:18:54.480 to them. 00:18:54.480 --> 00:18:56.480 Then there stirred within them 00:18:56.480 --> 00:18:58.480 the sound human nature, 00:18:58.480 --> 00:19:00.480 and they began to cover 00:19:00.480 --> 00:19:02.480 their private parts with the leaves 00:19:02.480 --> 00:19:04.740 of Paradise. 00:19:04.740 --> 00:19:06.740 In the meantime, 00:19:06.740 --> 00:19:08.740 their Lord called to them: 00:19:08.740 --> 00:19:10.740 'Did I not forbid you both?' 00:19:10.740 --> 00:19:12.740 Adam and Hawwa realized 00:19:12.740 --> 00:19:14.740 regarding that tree, 00:19:14.740 --> 00:19:16.740 'And I warned you both, 00:19:16.740 --> 00:19:18.740 and I said to you both...' 00:19:18.740 --> 00:19:20.740 “Thus did he lead them on with guile. And when they tasted of the tree their shame was manifest to them and they began to hide (by heaping) on themselves some of the leaves of the Garden. And their Lord called them, (saying): Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you: Lo! Satan is an open enemy to you?” (7:22) 00:19:20.740 --> 00:19:23.059 Adam and Hawwa felt 00:19:23.059 --> 00:19:25.059 their mistake 00:19:25.059 --> 00:19:27.059 and confessed their sin, 00:19:27.059 --> 00:19:29.059 but 00:19:29.059 --> 00:19:31.059 only after they had fallen 00:19:31.059 --> 00:19:34.299 into the misfortune of their disobedience. 00:19:34.299 --> 00:19:36.299 At that point came 00:19:36.299 --> 00:19:38.299 the divine command: 00:19:38.299 --> 00:19:40.299 'Descend to the earth, 00:19:40.299 --> 00:19:42.299 you are enemies to one another. 00:19:42.299 --> 00:19:44.299 For you therein 00:19:44.299 --> 00:19:46.299 is a place of settlement and enjoyment 00:19:46.299 --> 00:19:48.750 for a time.' 00:19:48.750 --> 00:19:50.750 So Adam and Hawwa descended 00:19:50.750 --> 00:19:52.940 to the earth, remorseful. 00:19:52.940 --> 00:19:54.940 And Adam, peace be upon him, received 00:19:54.940 --> 00:19:56.940 from his Lord words, 00:19:56.940 --> 00:19:58.940 through which He taught him 00:19:58.940 --> 00:20:01.099 repentance and seeking forgiveness. 00:20:01.099 --> 00:20:03.099 So Adam began to repeat them: 00:20:03.099 --> 00:20:05.099 'Our Lord, 00:20:05.099 --> 00:20:07.099 we have wronged ourselves, 00:20:07.099 --> 00:20:09.099 “They said: Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If thou forgive us not and have not mercy on us, surely we are of the lost!” (7:23) 00:20:09.099 --> 00:20:11.099 and have mercy on us, that we may be 00:20:11.099 --> 00:20:13.099 among the losers.' 00:20:13.099 --> 00:20:15.359 So Allah pardoned him, 00:20:15.359 --> 00:20:17.359 chose him for Himself, 00:20:17.359 --> 00:20:19.359 accepted his repentance, 00:20:19.359 --> 00:20:21.460 guided him, 00:20:21.460 --> 00:20:23.460 and selected him as a prophet on earth, 00:20:23.460 --> 00:20:25.490 as the first prophet 00:20:25.490 --> 00:20:27.490 of the prophets. 00:20:27.490 --> 00:20:29.839 Allah the Exalted said: 00:20:29.839 --> 00:20:32.190 'And O Adam, 00:20:32.190 --> 00:20:34.190 dwell, you 00:20:34.190 --> 00:20:36.190 and your wife, in Paradise, 00:20:36.190 --> 00:20:38.190 and eat from wherever 00:20:38.190 --> 00:20:40.190 you both wish, 00:20:40.190 --> 00:20:42.190 eat from wherever you both wish, 00:20:42.190 --> 00:20:44.190 but do not approach 00:20:44.190 --> 00:20:46.190 this tree, 00:20:46.190 --> 00:20:48.190 lest you be among the wrongdoers.' 00:20:48.190 --> 00:20:50.190 Then Satan whispered to them 00:20:50.190 --> 00:20:52.190 to reveal 00:20:52.190 --> 00:20:54.190 to them what was hidden 00:20:54.190 --> 00:20:56.190 from them of their private parts, 00:20:56.190 --> 00:20:58.190 to reveal 00:20:58.190 --> 00:21:00.190 So that what was hidden 00:21:00.190 --> 00:21:02.190 from them of 00:21:02.190 --> 00:21:04.190 their private parts might be revealed to them. 00:21:04.190 --> 00:21:06.190 And he said, "Your Lord did not forbid you 00:21:06.190 --> 00:21:08.190 your Lord did not forbid you 00:21:08.190 --> 00:21:10.190 from this 00:21:10.190 --> 00:21:12.190 tree, except 00:21:12.190 --> 00:21:14.190 that you should become 00:21:14.190 --> 00:21:16.190 angels, 00:21:16.190 --> 00:21:18.190 or that you should become 00:21:18.190 --> 00:21:20.190 angels or become 00:21:20.190 --> 00:21:22.190 among the immortals." 00:21:22.190 --> 00:21:24.190 And he swore 00:21:24.190 --> 00:21:26.190 to them both, "Indeed, I 00:21:26.190 --> 00:21:28.190 am to you both among 00:21:28.190 --> 00:21:30.190 the sincere advisors." 00:21:30.190 --> 00:21:32.190 So he brought them down 00:21:32.190 --> 00:21:34.190 by deception. 00:21:34.190 --> 00:21:36.190 And when 00:21:36.190 --> 00:21:38.190 they tasted of the tree, 00:21:38.190 --> 00:21:40.190 their private parts became apparent to them, 00:21:40.190 --> 00:21:42.190 and they began 00:21:42.190 --> 00:21:44.190 and they began 00:21:44.190 --> 00:21:46.190 to fasten together over themselves 00:21:46.190 --> 00:21:48.190 from the leaves of 00:21:48.190 --> 00:21:50.190 Paradise. 00:21:50.190 --> 00:21:52.190 And their Lord called to them, 00:21:52.190 --> 00:21:54.190 "Did I not forbid you 00:21:54.190 --> 00:21:56.190 from that 00:21:56.190 --> 00:21:58.190 tree?" 00:21:58.190 --> 00:22:00.190 "Did I not forbid you 00:22:00.190 --> 00:22:02.190 from that tree, 00:22:02.190 --> 00:22:04.190 and I say to you both, 00:22:04.190 --> 00:22:06.190 and I say to you both, 00:22:06.190 --> 00:22:08.190 that Satan 00:22:08.190 --> 00:22:10.190 is to you both an enemy 00:22:10.190 --> 00:22:12.190 manifest?" 00:22:12.190 --> 00:22:14.190 They said, "Our Lord, 00:22:14.190 --> 00:22:16.190 we have wronged 00:22:16.190 --> 00:22:18.190 ourselves." 00:22:18.190 --> 00:22:20.190 "We have wronged ourselves, 00:22:20.190 --> 00:22:22.190 “They said: Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If thou forgive us not and have not mercy on us, surely we are of the lost!” (7:23) 00:22:22.190 --> 00:22:24.190 and have mercy upon us, 00:22:24.190 --> 00:22:26.190 we will surely be among 00:22:26.190 --> 00:22:28.190 the losers." 00:22:28.190 --> 00:22:30.190 He said, "Descend, being to one another 00:22:30.190 --> 00:22:32.190 enemies, 00:22:32.190 --> 00:22:34.190 and for you on the earth 00:22:34.190 --> 00:22:36.190 is a place of settlement 00:22:36.190 --> 00:22:38.190 and provision 00:22:38.190 --> 00:22:40.190 for a time." 00:22:40.190 --> 00:22:42.190 He said, "Therein you will live, 00:22:42.190 --> 00:22:44.190 and therein you will die, 00:22:44.190 --> 00:22:46.190 and from it you will be brought forth." 00:22:46.190 --> 00:22:49.599 The hadith 00:22:49.599 --> 00:22:51.599 has a continuation, if Allah wills. 00:22:51.599 --> 00:22:53.599 And Allah knows best. 00:22:53.599 --> 00:22:55.599 And praise be to Allah, 00:22:55.599 --> 00:22:57.599 Lord of the worlds. 00:22:57.599 --> 00:22:59.599 And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet, 00:22:59.599 --> 00:23:01.599 upon Muhammad, 00:23:01.599 --> 00:23:03.599 and upon his family and all his Companions, 00:23:03.599 --> 00:23:07.259 all of them. 00:23:07.259 --> 00:23:09.259 You have been with the stories 00:23:09.259 --> 00:23:20.509 of the Prophets.
