And whoso disobeyeth me - Still Thou art Forgiving, Merciful.” (14:36) 00:01:23.310 --> 00:01:25.439 Below the level of major shirk 00:01:25.439 --> 00:01:27.439 Is a lesser tribulation, 00:01:27.439 --> 00:01:30.439 Yet it remains a dangerous one: 00:01:30.439 --> 00:01:33.439 The tribulation of minor shirk, 00:01:33.439 --> 00:01:35.439 Such as showing off (riya') and self-admiration ('ujb), 00:01:35.439 --> 00:01:38.439 Or uttering polytheistic phrases unintentionally, 00:01:38.439 --> 00:01:41.439 Like swearing by other than Allah. 00:01:41.439 --> 00:01:45.180 The tribulation of doctrinal hypocrisy (nifaq). 00:01:45.180 --> 00:01:49.489 This is a tribulation for the hypocrite in this world, 00:01:49.489 --> 00:01:53.489 By committing this base and despicable character trait, 00:01:53.489 --> 00:01:56.489 Which is founded upon deception, treachery, and betrayal. 00:01:56.489 --> 00:01:59.489 It is also a tribulation for him on the Day of Resurrection, 00:01:59.489 --> 00:02:03.489 As his abode will be in the lowest depths of the Fire. 00:02:03.489 --> 00:02:06.549 Furthermore, hypocrisy is a tribulation for the Muslims, 00:02:06.549 --> 00:02:09.550 Due to the deception it causes among them, 00:02:09.550 --> 00:02:11.550 And the siding with the disbelievers against them, 00:02:11.550 --> 00:02:14.550 And exposing the private affairs of the Muslims to the disbelievers, 00:02:14.550 --> 00:02:18.550 And the discord they sow among the Muslims, 00:02:18.550 --> 00:02:20.550 And their cheating and abandonment of them, 00:02:20.550 --> 00:02:23.550 And their hatred for the rule of the Shari'ah and its people. 00:02:24.550 --> 00:02:28.189 The tribulation of innovations (bid'ah) and their proponents. 00:02:28.189 --> 00:02:31.900 This is a tribulation for the innovators themselves, 00:02:31.900 --> 00:02:34.900 Due to the misguidance they commit against their own souls, 00:02:34.900 --> 00:02:36.900 And the leading of others astray, 00:02:36.900 --> 00:02:39.900 By deviating from that which was held by 00:02:39.900 --> 00:02:42.900 The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and his Companions. 00:02:42.900 --> 00:02:45.900 And due to what they expose themselves to 00:02:45.900 --> 00:02:47.900 Of punishment on the Day of Resurrection, 00:02:47.900 --> 00:02:51.900 While they think they are doing good deeds. 00:02:52.900 --> 00:02:54.900 Among the most severe of innovations 00:02:54.900 --> 00:02:56.900 Is the tribulation of the Khawarij, 00:02:56.900 --> 00:02:58.900 Who declare Muslims to be disbelievers, 00:02:58.900 --> 00:03:00.900 And deem their blood lawful to shed. 00:03:00.900 --> 00:03:02.900 And the tribulation of the Murji'ah, 00:03:02.900 --> 00:03:05.900 Who spread corruption and immorality 00:03:05.900 --> 00:03:07.900 Through their corrupt creed, 00:03:07.900 --> 00:03:10.900 For according to them, faith is merely affirmation (in the heart), 00:03:10.900 --> 00:03:13.900 Regardless of what a person does. 00:03:13.900 --> 00:03:15.900 Innovations are of two types: 00:03:15.900 --> 00:03:17.900 A type that expels one from the fold of Islam, 00:03:17.900 --> 00:03:19.900 Such as the innovation of the Rafidah Shi'a, 00:03:19.900 --> 00:03:22.900 In whom major shirk has gathered, 00:03:22.900 --> 00:03:25.900 Along with their extremism regarding their Imams, 00:03:25.900 --> 00:03:27.900 Their belief in their infallibility, 00:03:27.900 --> 00:03:29.900 And their belief that they possess knowledge of the unseen. 00:03:29.900 --> 00:03:32.900 They are the worst enemies of the Ahl al-Sunnah. 00:03:32.900 --> 00:03:35.900 And an innovation that does not expel one from the fold of Islam, 00:03:35.900 --> 00:03:38.900 For those whose innovation has not led them into shirk 00:03:38.900 --> 00:03:41.900 Or the kufr that expels one from the fold of Islam. 00:03:41.900 --> 00:03:44.469 The tribulation of doubts (shubuhat), 00:03:44.469 --> 00:03:46.469 And the clothing of truth with falsehood. 00:03:46.469 --> 00:03:50.080 This is one of the effects of 00:03:50.080 --> 00:03:53.080 The tribulation caused by the people of disbelief, innovation, and hypocrisy, 00:03:53.080 --> 00:03:56.080 Who never cease to stir up doubts, 00:03:56.080 --> 00:03:59.080 Cloaking truth with falsehood, 00:03:59.080 --> 00:04:02.080 Distorting correct concepts, 00:04:02.080 --> 00:04:05.080 And twisting words out of their proper contexts, 00:04:05.080 --> 00:04:07.080 Interpreting them to incite tribulation, 00:04:07.080 --> 00:04:09.080 And to deceive people, 00:04:09.080 --> 00:04:11.080 By making truth appear as falsehood, 00:04:11.080 --> 00:04:13.080 And falsehood as truth. 00:04:13.080 --> 00:04:16.079 As Allah, the Almighty, said regarding them: 00:04:16.079 --> 00:04:19.079 “He it is Who hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture wherein are clear revelations - they are the substance of the Book - and others (which are) allegorical. But those in whose hearts is doubt pursue, forsooth, that which is allegorical seeking (to cause) dissension by seeking to explain it. None knoweth its explanation save Allah. And those who are of sound instruction say: We believe therein; the whole is from our Lord; but only men of understanding really heed.” (3:7) 00:04:22.079 --> 00:04:24.079 Seeking tribulation, 00:04:24.079 --> 00:04:26.079 And seeking its interpretation. 00:04:26.079 --> 00:04:28.180 This tribulation is among the most severe 00:04:28.180 --> 00:04:30.180 Types of tribulations today, 00:04:30.180 --> 00:04:33.180 Especially since the enemies of the faith and the Sunnah 00:04:33.180 --> 00:04:35.180 Have harnessed for it a massive 00:04:35.180 --> 00:04:37.180 Media apparatus, 00:04:37.180 --> 00:04:40.180 Including audio, visual, and written media, 00:04:40.180 --> 00:04:42.180 To lead people astray, 00:04:42.180 --> 00:04:45.180 And to confuse them regarding their religion. 00:04:45.180 --> 00:04:47.180 There is no protector today against the decree of Allah 00:04:47.180 --> 00:04:49.180 Except for those upon whom He has mercy, 00:04:49.180 --> 00:04:52.180 And who hold fast to the Book of Allah, the Almighty, 00:04:52.180 --> 00:04:55.180 And the Sunnah of His Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, 00:04:55.180 --> 00:04:59.180 And the understanding of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them. 00:04:59.180 --> 00:05:01.560 The tribulation of desires (shahawat). 00:05:01.560 --> 00:05:05.649 This relates to the destruction of morality, 00:05:05.649 --> 00:05:07.649 The prevalence of sins, 00:05:07.649 --> 00:05:09.649 And the suspension of enjoining good 00:05:09.649 --> 00:05:11.649 And forbidding evil. 00:05:11.649 --> 00:05:14.680 It has appeared in our contemporary reality today 00:05:14.680 --> 00:05:16.680 In its most severe form. 00:05:16.680 --> 00:05:19.680 The devils among mankind and jinn have mobilized 00:05:19.680 --> 00:05:22.680 All their power and media tools 00:05:22.680 --> 00:05:24.680 To destroy the morality of the people, 00:05:24.680 --> 00:05:27.680 And to drown them in desires and debauchery, 00:05:27.680 --> 00:05:29.680 Using women 00:05:29.680 --> 00:05:32.680 As a tool to seduce through desires, 00:05:32.680 --> 00:05:34.680 By way of their display of adornment (tabarruj), 00:05:34.680 --> 00:05:37.680 And their mixing with men and being in seclusion with them, 00:05:37.680 --> 00:05:41.680 Which results in corruption of the five necessities: 00:05:41.680 --> 00:05:43.680 Religion, intellect, 00:05:43.680 --> 00:05:45.680 Life, lineage, and wealth. 00:05:45.680 --> 00:05:48.680 Especially when these sins are not denounced, 00:05:48.680 --> 00:05:50.680 And are met with silence. 00:05:51.680 --> 00:05:54.290 The tribulation of alienation (ghurbah). 00:05:54.290 --> 00:05:58.410 This occurs when a Muslim finds himself 00:05:58.410 --> 00:06:00.410 And a few of his brothers in a society 00:06:00.410 --> 00:06:03.410 That has turned away from the law of Allah, the Almighty, 00:06:03.410 --> 00:06:05.410 Where sins have become rampant, 00:06:05.410 --> 00:06:08.410 And deviant concepts have spread 00:06:08.410 --> 00:06:10.410 In creed and conduct. 00:06:10.410 --> 00:06:13.410 Thus, the one who holds fast to his religion feels alienated, 00:06:13.410 --> 00:06:15.410 And fears for himself deviation 00:06:15.410 --> 00:06:17.410 And a lack of steadfastness in the religion, 00:06:17.410 --> 00:06:20.410 Because the one who holds fast to his religion in times of tribulation 00:06:20.410 --> 00:06:23.410 Is like one holding onto burning coals, 00:06:23.410 --> 00:06:26.410 As stated in the authentic hadith. 00:06:26.410 --> 00:06:29.410 The "strangers" (ghuraba') have been praised and commended 00:06:29.410 --> 00:06:32.410 In the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: 00:06:32.410 --> 00:06:34.410 "Glad tidings to the strangers." 00:06:34.410 --> 00:06:38.410 It was asked, "Who are the strangers, O Messenger of Allah?" 00:06:38.410 --> 00:06:40.410 He said: 00:06:40.410 --> 00:06:42.410 "A few righteous people 00:06:42.410 --> 00:06:44.410 Among many evil people; 00:06:44.410 --> 00:06:48.410 Those who disobey them are more numerous than those who obey them." 00:06:48.410 --> 00:06:50.410 And in another hadith: 00:06:50.410 --> 00:06:54.410 "Those who rectify what the people have corrupted." 00:06:54.410 --> 00:06:58.240 The tribulation of family and children. 00:06:58.240 --> 00:07:01.980 Allah, the Almighty, said: 00:07:01.980 --> 00:07:03.980 "O you who have believed, 00:07:03.980 --> 00:07:06.980 “O ye who believe! spend it on unlawful things for their sake. 00:07:29.980 --> 00:07:33.779 The tribulation of the world and its adornments. 00:07:33.779 --> 00:07:38.509 Under this tribulation are many forms: 00:07:38.509 --> 00:07:40.509 Including the tribulation of status, 00:07:40.509 --> 00:07:42.509 And the love of fame and leadership. 00:07:42.509 --> 00:07:44.509 The tribulation of women, 00:07:44.509 --> 00:07:47.509 And the tribulation of wealth and what relates to it, 00:07:47.509 --> 00:07:51.509 Such as consuming usury (riba) and engaging in forbidden sales and contracts. 00:07:51.509 --> 00:07:54.509 The tribulation of knowledge and scholars, 00:07:54.509 --> 00:07:58.509 And what relates to it, such as speaking about Allah without knowledge, 00:07:58.509 --> 00:08:01.509 Seeking the world through knowledge, 00:08:01.509 --> 00:08:03.509 Not acting upon one's knowledge, 00:08:03.509 --> 00:08:05.509 Envy among scholars, 00:08:05.509 --> 00:08:08.509 And a scholar's love for prominence and fame. 00:08:08.509 --> 00:08:12.089 The tribulation of disagreement and division, 00:08:12.089 --> 00:08:14.089 And fighting among Muslims. 00:08:14.089 --> 00:08:17.269 This is a blind tribulation; 00:08:17.269 --> 00:08:21.269 We have seen its corruptions in early Islamic history, 00:08:21.269 --> 00:08:23.269 And in modern times, 00:08:23.269 --> 00:08:26.269 And how it leads its people to failure, 00:08:26.269 --> 00:08:28.269 And the victory of the enemies over them, 00:08:28.269 --> 00:08:32.269 And the great corruption that results from that 00:08:32.269 --> 00:08:34.269 Regarding the religion and its people. 00:08:34.269 --> 00:08:37.139 The tribulation of the rulers. 00:08:37.139 --> 00:08:42.870 Many of the scholars of the salaf feared this tribulation, 00:08:42.870 --> 00:08:44.870 And warned against it. 00:08:45.870 --> 00:08:49.870 It is most severe for scholars and callers to Islam, 00:08:49.870 --> 00:08:51.870 And its consequence is the corruption of the religion, 00:08:51.870 --> 00:08:54.870 And the concealing of the truth or cloaking it with falsehood, 00:08:54.870 --> 00:08:58.899 For the sake of a fleeting 00:11:29.909 --> 00:11:34.909 Calling the rulings of the Sharia "customs and traditions." 00:11:34.909 --> 00:11:39.909 Calling the Ruwaybidah "Excellencies," "Your Highnesses," and "Your Eminences." 00:11:39.909 --> 00:11:44.909 Calling illegal levies and financial injustices "taxes and customs duties." 00:11:44.909 --> 00:11:50.909 Calling the mujahidin who resist the occupiers "terrorists." 00:11:50.909 --> 00:11:55.909 Calling famous, morally bankrupt individuals "stars." 00:11:55.909 --> 00:12:00.909 Calling the alteration of the foundations of the religion "renewing religious discourse." 00:12:01.909 --> 00:12:07.909 Calling the enmity and hatred toward the disbelievers "exclusionism and hate speech." 00:12:07.909 --> 00:12:14.909 Calling hypocrisy and sycophancy "wisdom," "pragmatism," and "love of peace." 00:12:14.909 --> 00:12:21.909 Calling the decisions of the Security Council and the International Court "international legitimacy." 00:12:21.909 --> 00:12:29.909 Calling proselytization "missionary work," the Christians "Nazarenes," and the Jews "Israelis." 00:12:29.909 --> 00:12:36.909 The corruptors calling themselves "reformers," and calling the reformers "corruptors." 00:12:36.909 --> 00:12:43.909 Calling the enjoining of good and forbidding of evil "interference in the affairs of others" and "sedition." 00:12:43.909 --> 00:12:50.909 Justifying the abandonment of Sharia rulings and the established tenets of the religion as "facilitation" and "necessity." 00:12:50.909 --> 00:12:58.909 Validating the religion of the Jews and Christians under a new name they call "Abrahamism." 00:12:58.909 --> 00:13:04.909 Calling the truthful callers to the faith who uphold the doctrine of loyalty and disavowal for the sake of Allah, 00:13:04.909 --> 00:13:06.909 "Extremists" and "radicals." 00:13:06.909 --> 00:13:13.909 Restricting the definition of harassment and adultery with women to cases where there is no consent and it is rape. 00:13:13.909 --> 00:13:19.909 Whereas if it is with consent, they claim it is neither harassment nor adultery. 00:13:19.909 --> 00:13:23.419 The tribulation of the Antichrist (al-Masih al-Dajjal). 00:13:24.419 --> 00:13:28.419 He is one of the major signs of the Hour. 00:13:28.419 --> 00:13:33.419 The Messenger, peace be upon him, warned us against him and his tribulation. 00:13:33.419 --> 00:13:37.419 He commanded us to seek refuge from his evil after every prayer. 00:13:37.419 --> 00:13:41.419 This is because his tribulation is among the most severe of tribulations. 00:13:41.419 --> 00:13:46.419 For
