In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari Surat Al-Qasas In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful When Musa had completed his term and led his family, he saw a fire on the side of the mountain He said to their family, “Stay still. I sensed a fire. Perhaps I will bring you news from it, or an ember from the fire. Perhaps you will calm down.” When Musa fulfilled his ten proofs, He walked with his family to his home from Egypt I see and feel fire from the side of the stage He told his family to be patient and wait, for I saw fire Perhaps I will bring you news from the fire, or I will bring you a thick piece of firewood with fire in it, so that you may warm yourself with it from the cold. And it was winter. When he reached it, a call was called from the right bank of the valley in the blessed spot of the tree: O Moses, indeed I am God, Lord of the worlds. When Moses came to the fire that was near the mountain God called Moses to the blessed spot by the tree Indeed, O Moses, I am God, Lord of the worlds And if he threw your stick, then when he saw it shaking as if it were a jinn or a deviant, he did not follow up O Moses, come and do not be afraid, for you are safe And if you throw your staff, Moses threw it and it became a running serpent When Moses saw it moving and turbulent, it was as if it were a genie of snakes Nor did Moses escape from it, nor did he turn around or wait So call me, O Moses, come to me and do not be afraid of what you are running away from You are safe, but it is your stick Put your hand in your pocket and it will come out white without any harm And embrace your wings of terror These are two proofs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his entourage They were immoral people Put your hand in your shirt pocket and it will come out white and not stained I hold your hand close to you from the fear and disunity that has befallen you From your observation, I have not witnessed the horror of the snake These two things I showed you, O Moses, are the ones who turned the stick into a snake And your hand, which is brown and white, shines without leprosy Two verses and two arguments to Pharaoh and the nobles of his people as an argument against them And an indication of the truth of your prophecy, O Moses Pharaoh and his people were unbelievers He said, “My Lord, I have killed a soul among them, so I fear that they will be killed.” Moses said, “My Lord, I have killed a soul from Pharaoh’s people.” So I fear that if I go to them, I have not defended myself under the pretext that they will be killed Because I have a knot on my tongue and I cannot explain what I want to say My brother Haroun is more eloquent than me So he sent him with me, wanting him to believe me I am afraid they will lie My brother Haroun is the best articulator of what he wants to explain So he sent him with me as an assistant to explain to them what I was addressing them with I am afraid that they will not believe me when I tell them I sent to you He said, “We will support you with your brother and give you authority.” They will not reach you with Our signs You and those who follow you will prevail God said to Moses We will strengthen you and help you with your brother And we will make an argument for you So let Pharaoh and his people not harm you With our argument and authority that we give to you You and those who follow you will be victorious, Pharaoh and his entourage When Moses came to him with Our clear signs They said, “This is nothing but fabricated magic.” They said, “This is nothing but fabricated magic.” We have not heard of this among our forefathers When Moses came to Pharaoh and his chiefs With our evidence and arguments Evidence is evidence With the truth of what Moses brought from his Lord They said to Moses This that you brought us is nothing but magic He was slandered by you And you silenced him as a lie and a falsehood We have not heard of this that you are calling us to Of worshiping Him whom you call us to worship In our ancestors and parents who went before us Moses said, “My Lord knows best who brought guidance from Him.” And whoever will have the consequence of disgrace The wrongdoers will not succeed Moses said My Lord knows best who brought guidance For the sake of truth and clarity From his clear argument And who has the praiseworthy obstacle in the Hereafter? It does not succeed and their seekers who disbelieve in God Almighty do not achieve it And Pharaoh said, O chiefs! I do not know that you have any god other than Me So, Haman, light a fire for me on clay So make me a edifice Perhaps I may look to the God of Moses And I think he is one of the liars Pharaoh said to his people's nobles and masters O eminent ones, I do not know that you have any god other than me So you worship Him And believe the words of Moses You and he have a usury other than me And the idol of Zwai So work for me, O Haman, for a constructive reward May I look at the idol of Moses I believe that what he says is that he has it An idol worshiped in heaven by the liars And he and his soldiers were unjustly arrogant on earth They thought that they would not return to us So we captured him and his soldiers So we abandoned them in the city So look at what was the end of the wrongdoers Pharaoh and his soldiers were arrogant in the land of Egypt About believing in Moses and the monotheism of God without truth They thought that after their death they would not be resurrected There is no reward or punishment So we gathered Pharaoh and his Copt soldiers So we threw them all into the sea So we drowned them in it So look, O Muhammad, with the eyes of your heart What was the situation of those who wronged themselves? So they disbelieved in their Lord And We made them imams calling to Hell On the Day of Resurrection, they will not be helped And We made Pharaoh and his people imams to be followed People who rebel against God and disbelieve in Him They call people to the actions of the people of Hell On the Day of Resurrection, he will not support them If God tortures them, Nasser They were fighting each other in this world That victory vanished at that time We followed them in this world as a curse On the Day of Resurrection, they will be among the hated We committed Pharaoh and his people in this world With shame and anger from us towards them And we, their followers, will be another curse on the Day of Resurrection They will be subjected to perpetual disgrace They are among the people whom God has reviled So He destroyed them because of their disbelief in their Lord So make them an example for those who consider it And We gave Moses the Book After We destroyed the first centuries Insights for people Insights for people And guidance and mercy, so that they may remember And We gave Moses the Torah After We destroyed the nations that were before him Like the people of Noah, Ad and Thamud And the people of Lot and the companions of Media Dia for those who are Israel among them It is needed by their religion And a clarification for them and a mercy for those of them who act upon it To remember God's blessings upon them So they thank Him for it and do not disbelieve And I was not on the western side When We conveyed the matter to Moses And I was not one of the witnesses And you, Muhammad, were not near the west of the mountain When we imposed the matter on Moses and obliged him and his people And you were not one of the witnesses to that But we created centuries So their lives are prolonged And I was not a resident of the people of Medina Our verses are recited to them Our verses are recited to them But we were missionaries But we created nations So we updated it after that So their lives are prolonged And I was not residing among the people of Midian You did not witness any of that, Muhammad But it was we who sent the messengers And I was not beside the stage When we called, but it was a mercy from your Lord To warn a people against whom no warner has come By you, perhaps they will remember And you, Muhammad, were not beside the mountain When Moses called us, “I will write it.” For those who fear and pay zakat And those who believe in Our signs Those who follow the Messenger, the illiterate Prophet You did not witness any of that, Muhammad So you learn it But we knew you And We sent down to you And We sent you to creation Mercy from us to you and to them To warn a people to whom no warner had come before you They are the Arabs to whom he was sent The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace To remember how wrong they are Resurrecting from their disbelief in their Lord They will come to acknowledge God With oneness and singling Him out for worship Unless a calamity befalls them For what their hands have provided And they say, “Our Lord.” Had you not sent us a messenger? So we will follow your signs And we will be among the believers And had it not been for those who said... I sent you to them, Muhammad If misfortune befalls them Or Our torment came upon them Before we send you to them They would have said, “Our Lord.” Did you not send us a messenger? Before your wrath befalls us We follow your evidence And we will be among the believers In your divinity, those who believe in your messenger But We sent you as a warner to them So that people do not have authority over God An argument after the Messengers When the truth came to them From us They said if it had not been given to me Like what was given to Moses Did they not disbelieve? With what Moses was given before They said they were magicians pretending And they said, “We are disbelievers in every way.” When Muhammad came to them May God bless him and grant him peace By message They said rebellion against God May I not be given to Muhammad? May God bless him and grant him peace Like what was given to Moses Bin Imran from the book Say, O Muhammad, to your people from Quraysh Did not those who disbelieve? They learned this argument from the Jews With what was given to Moses before you And they said: When Moses was given of the Torah And when Jesus was given the Gospel Two magicians cooperated She said the Jews We have every book on earth From the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and the Criterion Unbelievers Say: Bring a book from God He was calmer than them Follow Follow him if you are honest Say, O Muhammad, to those who say For the Torah and the Bible They are both pretend magic Bring a book from God He guided them both to the path of truth Follow him if you are honest In your claim These two books are magical And the right is in others If they do not respond to you Know that they do not follow their desires Who is more astray than he who follows his desires? Without guidance from God God does not guide unjust people If these people do not answer you Know that they do not follow their desires And that which they speak They say in both books A false and false statement that has no truth And who strays from the path of guidance? And the method of payment Whoever follows his own passion Without a statement from God God does not help Right injury And the people's path to maturity Those who disobeyed God's command They abandoned his obedience And they denied His Messenger Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
