Ramadan Hadiths
On the authority of Jabir ibn 'Abdillah (may Allah be pleased with him and his father), who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was on a journey,
and he saw a man around whom a crowd had gathered,
with shade being provided over him.
So he asked, "What is the matter with him?"
They replied, "He is a fasting man."
Whereupon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"It is not an act of righteousness to fast while traveling."
