00:00:00.140 --> 00:00:03.660
Ramadan Hadiths

00:00:05.940 --> 00:00:10.500
On the authority of Jabir ibn 'Abdillah (may Allah be pleased with him and his father), who said:

00:00:10.500 --> 00:00:15.539
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was on a journey,

00:00:15.539 --> 00:00:19.620
and he saw a man around whom a crowd had gathered,

00:00:19.620 --> 00:00:21.859
with shade being provided over him.

00:00:21.859 --> 00:00:24.719
So he asked, "What is the matter with him?"

00:00:24.719 --> 00:00:28.399
They replied, "He is a fasting man."

00:00:28.500 --> 00:00:32.659
Whereupon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

00:00:32.659 --> 00:00:36.820
"It is not an act of righteousness to fast while traveling."
