Milestones on the path to stability
Obedience to God and His Messenger
It is a means of stability
Obedience to God and His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, in every matter
It is a sign of faith
God Almighty said
O you who have believed, obey God and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you
If you disagree about anything, refer it to God and the Messenger
If you believe in God and the Last Day
That is a better and better interpretation
And he said, “Obey God and His Messenger if you are believers.”
Obedience is a path to mercy, as God Almighty said
And obey God and the Messenger that you may receive mercy
It is the path to guidance, as God Almighty said
If you obey Him, you will be guided
On the authority of Al-Fadl bin Ziyad, he said:
I heard Abu Abdullah Ahmad bin Hanbal say
I looked at the Qur’an
I found in him obedience to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
In thirty-three places
Then he started reciting
Let those who disobey his command beware
That a temptation may befall them
That a temptation may befall them
Or a painful punishment will befall them
And he repeated it and said
And what is the temptation?
Polytheism
Perhaps some deviation may occur in his heart
Then his heart will be distorted and he will destroy him
And he started reciting this verse
No, by your Lord, they will not believe until they make you judge in what is disputed between them
He said
And I heard Abu Abdullah say:
Whoever rejects the hadith of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace
It is on your lips
And in the two Sahihs
Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, said
I am not leaving anything behind
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to do it
Except I did it
For I fear that if I leave any of his affairs behind, I will be visited upon him
