00:02:22.080 --> 00:02:26.080 and they attain through it acts of obedience and closeness, 00:02:26.080 --> 00:02:29.080 by which they gain the pleasure of their Lord, 00:02:29.080 --> 00:02:33.080 the attainment of His reward, and salvation from His punishment. 00:02:33.080 --> 00:02:36.240 That is why He called it "blessed," 00:02:36.240 --> 00:02:42.240 meaning it contains abundant blessings in 00:04:10.169 and the attachment of people's hearts to it. 00:04:10.169 --> 00:04:12.780 It is commonly known among people 00:04:12.780 --> 00:04:17.779 that Ibrahim, peace be upon him, was the first to build the Sacred Mosque, 00:04:17.779 --> 00:04:23.779 and that Ya'qub or Sulayman, peace be upon them, was the first to build Al-Aqsa Mosque. 00:04:23.779 --> 00:04:27.779 Scholars have held various opinions in determining this, 00:04:27.779 --> 00:04:32.779 but one who reflects on the verse and the hadith, along with historical perspective, 00:04:32.779 --> 00:04:36.779 finds that the closest and most likely opinion 00:04:36.779 --> 00:04:39.779 is that the Sacred Mosque and Al-Aqsa Mosque 00:04:39.779 --> 00:04:44.779 were built—founded, initiated, and their foundations laid— 00:04:44.779 --> 00:04:47.779 in the time of Adam, peace be upon him. 00:04:47.779 --> 00:04:53.000 It is transmitted that Adam, peace be upon him, built the Sacred Mosque, 00:04:53.000 --> 00:04:56.000 and then, forty years later, 00:04:56.000 --> 00:04:58.000 Al-Aqsa Mosque was built. 00:04:58.000 --> 00:05:00.000 That is, in his time, 00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:03.000 and it is possible Al-Qurtubi, may Allah have mercy on him, said the same, 00:06:01.290 --> 00:06:07.290 that the hadith does not indicate that Ibrahim and Sulayman, peace be upon them, 00:06:07.290 --> 00:06:09.290 when they built the two mosques, 00:06:09.290 --> 00:06:12.290 were the ones who initiated their establishment. 00:06:12.290 --> 00:06:16.290 Rather, that was a renewal of what others had founded before them. 00:06:16.290 --> 00:06:22.800 The elite of humanity, the prophets and the righteous, realized the importance of Al-Aqsa, 00:06:22.800 --> 00:06:27.800 so they took turns building, raising, and renewing it. 00:06:27.800 --> 00:06:30.860 Ibrahim, peace be upon him, renewed it, 00:06:30.860 --> 00:06:35.860 and when he grew old, Ya'qub, peace be upon him, renewed it, 00:06:35.860 --> 00:06:40.860 just as Sulayman, peace be upon him, raised its structure and built it. 00:06:40.860 --> 00:06:43.860 Its maintenance continued from generation to generation 00:06:43.860 --> 00:06:47.019 until this very day. 00:06:47.019 --> 00:06:52.019 For a long time, the Jews have tried to erase these historical facts 00:06:52.019 --> 00:06:57.019 and suggest that the beginning of the relationship of Al-Aqsa Mosque on earth 00:06:57.019 --> 00:07:00.019 was since Sulayman, peace be upon him, 00:07:00.019 --> 00:07:05.019 in order to discard more than two thousand years of its ancient history. 00:07:05.019 --> 00:07:07.019 But that is far from their reach. 00:07:07.019 --> 00:07:11.019 Just as the sun cannot be covered by a sieve, 00:07:11.019 --> 00:07:14.019 their lies, forgery, and distortion 00:07:14.019 --> 00:07:19.019 will only deceive the weak-minded and the sick-hearted. 00:07:19.019 --> 00:07:22.019 Our sanctities will remain standing tall, 00:07:22.019 -->
