In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari Surah Al-Hujurat In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful The Bedouins said, “We are safe.” Say you do not believe, but Say, “We have converted to Islam,” and when he enters Faith is in your hearts And if you obey God and His Messenger Nothing of your deeds will devour you God is Forgiving and Merciful The Bedouins said, “We believe in God and His Messenger.” Tell them, O Muhammad You are not believers But say it We entered the sect and lost blood and wealth With true testimony And when knowledge enters into the laws of faith And the truths of its meanings are in your hearts And if you obey God and His Messenger, O people You will not lose anything from the rewards of your work God is pardoning, O Bedouins, to those who obey Him Merciful to His creation who repent to Him To punish them after they repent The believers are only those who believe in God and His Messenger Then they were not suspicious They strove with their money and their lives for the sake of God Those are the truthful ones But the believers, O people Those who believe in God and His Messenger Then they did not doubt the unity of God Nor in the prophecy of his Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace They struggled against the polytheists by spending their money And they gave their utmost effort in their jihad These are the ones who are honest in what they say We are believers No one who enters the religion fears the sword To save his blood and money Say, “Do you know God about your religion?” And God knows what is in the heavens and what is on earth And God is All-Knowing of all things Say, O Muhammad, to these Bedouins O people, you will learn about God by obeying your Lord By God you know that you are believers The Knower of all that is in the heavens and the earth Nothing is hidden from him God is with everything that was and is And what is knowledgeable They wish you to have converted to Islam Say, “Do not prefer your Islam to me.” Rather, God has favored you by guiding you to faith If you are honest These Bedouins are blessed, O Muhammad, if they convert to Islam Say, “Do not prefer your Islam to me.” Rather, God has bestowed upon you, O people, that He has enabled you to believe in Him and His Messenger If you are honest in your saying, “We believe.” God knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth And God sees what you do It is God, O Bedouins He knows what the consciences of your chests hold And you speak it yourselves He knows what you have missed So seek refuge in the secrets of the heavens and the earth None of this is hidden from him And God has insight into the deeds that you do He will reward you for all of that If good, then good If evil, evil
